wait. If they cash the cheque then you know it is fine. If they have problems with it, they will send back the whole package at which time you can correct the cheque and send it out again.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I think you're the one that she was referring to.

Doh!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Hey Krikit --- the university sent me a letter like the one you mentioned in like 2 days; they were quite nice about it, so this must be an easy request.

Definitely an easy request. Except that my husband's employer (Federal government) stores the records in one central office for the entire country.... not just the State or his place of business. icon2.gif So I imagine they have a response-to-a-record-request policy of about 4 weeks. Except that I'm not waiting that long. I'm giving them until tomorrow. LOL

Yes, I have a copy of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield benefits document, so I'll just send that. If I could find my investment portfolio documentation showing him as my beneficiary I would send that too. Only I have put it in a safe place and can't seem to find it. icon2.gif

:hehe:

Not really. Everyone in Canada who has vested funds from an employer-based pension plan has one. They either choose to leave it with the former employer or they can move it out into their own investment portfolio. With a few exceptions they're locked in, so you can't touch them.
