Another week of waiting for an approval.

I shouldn't be complaining that the high is 85 degrees although there is no air conditioning.

Today's agenda: grocery shopping and helping the maids clean (cause I always feel bad for some reason. I can't just sit and watch them clean my apartment).

Good Morning

Folks as I had said last week about someone dear needing your prayers, please please keep those prayers coming. (F)(F)(F)

I am with all of you non sleepers out there.

Jess I think hubby will always be on that schedule of sleeping @ 4-5 am. With his job he is able to sleep as much as he wants during the day but me, I have to get up like the rest of the normal working 9-5s. It is hard because I like to stay up and be with him but I need my sleep! Last night I didn't sleep till 3 30 or 4 am!

The funny thing, when he does go to sleep the same time as me, I can't fall asleep for a long time. Sleep alone, I am sleeping within 5 mins.

Melly, I had a similiar situation sometime ago and it isn't easy. I can't imagine how patient you are having to stay cooped up with his family and not being able to understand them, have run of the house, your normal comforts of home (here) or friends to call upon. It would be one thing if you were able to be independent and go out and do what you wanted to do to keep busy. Prayers with you dear. It is very frustrating to be under the watchful and critical eye of the family especially when there are so many differences. BTW, how long have you been living there?

I imagine that it is even harder in Egypt than it would be in Morocco. It seems they maybe a little more hardcore about somethings.

Jackie, are you fully recovered yet?

I imagine all went as planned with Amanda's reunion, I am sure she is wedded bliss :luv:

For sure. What's worse is nobody says what's culturally acceptable and, particularly, what's not. Instead they wait and watch then run their chops in that "See! I told you they're all like that" way. Pffffffffffffffffft! I feel for ya Melly, I really do.

My day's almost over. I have work to do at home then I will be happy to see that bed.

A guy works at a new job on Thursday and Friday. On Monday he calls in and says,

"I can't come in today. I'm sick." He worked the rest of the week, but the

following Monday he calls in and says, "I can't come in today. I'm sick." The boss

asks the foreman about him, and the foreman says, "He's great. He does the work

of two men. We need him." So the boss calls the guy into his office, and says,

"You seem to have a problem getting to work on Mondays. You're a good worker and

I'd hate to fire you. What's the problem? Anything we can help you with? Drugs?

Alcohol?" The guy says, "No, I don't drink or do drugs. But my brother-in-law

drinks every weekend, and then beats on my sister. So every Monday morning, I go

over to make sure she's all right. She puts her head on my shoulder and cries,

one thing leads to another, and the next thing you know, I'm screwing her." The

boss says, "You screw your sister?" The guy says, "Hey, I told you I was sick."

Good afternoon and HAPPY moanDAY !

I just got done mowing the lawn and feel wiped out. I still have floors to scrub but will take a break for now.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
