Sammy, I'm still at that stage, too.

NO way can I look at meat anymore!!

Allison and Sammy. I hope for you that you'll get through this stage real fast. My pregnancy was awesome so far. I didn't have any morning sickness. I had about two weeks where I felt a little queasy during the day and couldn't eat anything except for watermelons, apples and sushi but nothing that really bothered me too much. I also made the mistake of taking my prenatal vitamin after a bowl of clam chowder - needless to say that this was the only time I puked during pregnancy. Then I started breaing the pill in half and take half in the morning and half in the evening with food. Now I'm back to taking that whole darn thing at once for dinner and it works just fine.

I have to say the same for my pregnancy as well. Other then feeling nauseaus (I think I butchered the word) I was fine and only threw up when I did the dairy combo with my prenatals. It was weird but I equated having a good pregnancy to having a boy because I heard stories of people who were preggers with girls and what they went through and I wasn't matching up with their symptoms so I thought I was definitely having a boy. That's the vibe my body was giving me. But I always joke and say that if this is what pregnancy is like then I am popping out a few more after this! lol The queasiness lasted for about 2 weeks as well.

Mand: You must be so excited! I can't wait to see pics of the new addition!

Mand, I'll be sure to check that one out! You must be so impatient about now....I know I will be. Good luck and hope it all goes smoothly.

I kinda had an idea we were having a girl, but I think it may have been the fact that my husbands family were all rooting for one....no pressure, lol! The Ultrasound tech says she is almost sure it is a girl, but I'm not counting on it 'til I see it for myself.

I was very nauseous and pukey for the first 12 weeks or so, at night mostly though. Since then, the nausea has subsided and heartburn has taken its place! I wish I was enjoying the experience more, but to be honest, I can't see how I could be one of those women who love every minute of their pregnancy. I have been pretty much uncomfortable since the beginning. My body doesn't like the changes, lol.

Also, I have never been to the hospital for anything more serious than a D&C, so the thought of that terrifies me too. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to have the baby. I think I'll much prefer being a Mom to being pregnant.

You sure, you are not me??

@Allison. I felt like we were having a boy, it was a gut feeling and also what Nizzy said "Boys bring the beauty, girls take the beauty" was a total match. We went in for an US at 18 weeks and they let us wait forever until they finally got 'to the point' and there it was, a tiny little extrafinger. My husband did the Napoleon Dynamite dance and both the doc and me had to ask him to sit back down and stop dancing, haha.

As anyone here heard of donating your breast milk?

I didn't until a few weeks ago.... I am planning on donating the milk I had already pumped..... I have about 50 bottles in the freezer and I didn't want to throw them out.... The milk goes to preemie babies in NICUs who's moms aren't able to breastfeed....

I am donating through the National Milk Bank

No, I've never heard of that Marilyn....that's such a nice thing for you to do, can't be easy for you. I hope it helps to know you are helping out other babies going through the same thing as Noah did. I'm sure it means a lot to their parents. (F)

Did anyone "just have a feeling" about what the sex of the baby was, and turn out to be right?

I'd kind of like a girl, but I just keep saying its a boy...

I wont find out for another 5 weeks..

Yes! My body was telling me it's a boy but everyone else kept saying girl and it turned out that I was right! I never understood how some women would say that your body gives out a vibe but it's true!

It was weird but I equated having a good pregnancy to having a boy because I heard stories of people who were preggers with girls and what they went through and I wasn't matching up with their symptoms so I thought I was definitely having a boy.

 I think you and I are adding to those Old Wives tales...

My hubby was out of town when I had my ultrasound done to determine the gender. He demanded I have him on speakerphone and since the doctor was okay with it he was there with me via phone! I had two doctors do my ultrasound, one was a general one and the other was a more in depth one because of family history of Down syndrome. The first doctor told me it was a boy and I just cried and hubby was excited he said good bye so fast so he could call everyone! lol Guys are so funny. The second doctor didn't know that the first one had already revealed the gender and asked me if I wanted to know. Well I didn't tell him the other doctor told me in case she had made a mistake or something(that was me holding on to a glimmer of hope that it would be a girl). He confirmed what she said by saying "there is definitely outdoor plumbing!" lol

I did. I said it was going to be a little girl from the day we knew that we had a baby on the way.

That's what my husband said, too and in the end he confessed to me that he was just trying to convice himself that he can also teach a girl how to fish and hunt. He wanted a boy soooo bad but was trying to get into the idea of a little girl. Well, in the end we both got what we wanted...

Have you started buying stuff yet? Other then clothes (tons and tons of clothes) I haven't gotten anything major like a crib or stroller. I do frequent Babys R us, Walmart and Target ALOT just to get some ideas. There are too many choices! My mom thinks I should wait until my 8th month before buying those things...she is one of those "Old Wives Tales" type of ladies and doesn't want to jinx anything. My first purchase was when I had just found out I was preggers. I got these little shoes that look like they are soft faux leather. They are blue and green with green froggies on them! I thought they were too adorable to pass up...

No, I haven't gotten anything but I would love to. Here is why. My husband is in the Marine corps and scheduled to leave for Iraq in January. If this was the case, I would move to TX - with my in-laws - in December. Well, since August, my husband has been having health issues (thyroid glands off and chronic urticaria) and now he is trying to get off the deployment list. First we have to wait for his unit to return from their latest work-up though. They are coming back on November 7th and my hubby didn't have to go because of his health problems.

So, as soon as they tell him that he is off the list (which I really really hope will happen) we can go ahead and put in another year for the house here, get the nursery set up etc. If he doesn't het off the list, we have to pack (we already started) EVERYTHING in this house, get it in storage and move to TX ASAP since the people from the insurance don't want me to take a three day drive from NC to TX when I am 32+ weeks. So right now, it sucks cause I would really like to get things started but we can't since we are tied up for now.

I really hope he gets off the list. Not only for the baby (which is a big reason) but for his health. Hubby and I are relocating to Virginia and he is currently there at his new job setting things up for when I join him. It kind of sucks that he can't be with me when I buy little clothes and it isn't the same explaining it to him. I will be reuniting with him soon and then we will start buying the major things. I see things on sale all the time but he says he wants to buy it together so that's what we'll do. Not having him here to see the kicks and share the pregnancy is so tough. So I hope that your hubby is with you every step of the way and gets to see it all.

I'm glad he is here right now and gets to see so much of me/us developing. He loves hearing the little kicks on the heart monitor or just watching my belly move. Everytime I'm out in stores I look at babystuff and I would like to start buying strollers, high chairs, car seats etc. but all I can do is buy yet another set of onsies (we even got one from the Marine corps that says Baby Andrews on the back and has my hubby's command on the front). All I can do right now is prepare for birth either here or TX. I have a doula in TX who could help me and I will attend the OB Tour at the Naval Hospital here as well and I'm currentyl writing (well preparing for it) on my birth plan. It helps me have some control for now.

I'm sure as soon as our babies are born everything is gonna be just the way it is supposed to be but I am very excited to meet our baby and if it was up to me, he could be here tomorrow...

you are right. Once our little men get here things will fall in place. God it's so odd how we think so alike. I just got off the phone with hubby and said I wanna know what he looks like already! I want him to come now! But I know he has to develop and pack on that baby fat! I always watch A Baby Story and cry along with the mothers when the babies are born. I think about my reaction when I lay eyes on him. Wow! I'm gonna be a mommy!
