Reinhard, just remember that whatever way the baby is born is a good way, and if it is by a scheduled c-section, at least you have the comfort of knowing the date and being prepared! Either way, best of luck and looking to forward to hearing some good news

We have our appointment for the c-section: This coming Monday, September 11, 2006.

That's a good day to have the baby arrive since it is Enkutatash (New Year's Day) in Ethiopia. Our September 11, 2006 is Maskaram 1, 1999 over there - the first day of the first month of 1999. As you may have guessed already, they operate on a different calendar over there.

Anyways, come Monday, we'll have our little ray of sunshine enter this world.

The baby is starting to kick! I don't know how to quite explain it but it truly is like I have read it...like butterflies in my stomach. It's like a little bird in their fluttering...it's so exciting. I am counting down the days until October 3rd when I find out the gender. Then I will start the shopping! I think my first purchase will be a baby bjorn type of thing. I think those things are so cute.
