Well, congrats on all the new arrivals!

So fun to hear about all your stories. My grand niece hit 11 lbs today and the last brain scan they did on her, her bleeding had healed up, so thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.

Back in May, when I asked about cramping, I really meant the first or second week of pregnancy, like when you FIRST become pregnant, and how you know it, or what you experience, before you know for sure and can do the test, before you even are due for a period. Looking back and doing all the reading I have done, I think I might have experienced a chemical pregnancy, becuz I was a few days late, had some pretty weird cramping, food cravings and was terribly tired. From what I read, I guess its common if your older and you dont have enough progesterone? I know one of you all said you had to take progesterone right away, but cant remember who said that. How does one know if your low?

I have had a ball reading about the different baby sights mentioned here, I never realized some people live from week to week just trying to have a baby. Sounds like an awful rollercoaster but I learned a lot.

I would post a pic of my grand niece if I knew how, but it just keeps telling me my pics are too big and I dont know how to make them smaller, darnit!

Anyhow, good luck to all.

Kiki, when you have time, a question for you, I know you said you had to take your blood sugar 4 times a day. Since I am diabetic already, what did you do if it were high...or low, etc. I am interested in knowing more.

Hugs to all

Jill

At my doctor's appointment last week, my doctor told me that my placenta was low....

I wasn't sure what she was talking about but I did some research when I got home and I think she was talking about placenta previa (when your placenta is situated lower in the uterus)... most of the time it takes care of itself later in the pregnancy and moves up....

My hubby is a little worried but I told him that this happens to a lot of woman....

You are right....the doc will keep an eye in it (means more ultra sounds...woohoo) there is really no worry, if it doesn't correct itself you will likely have to have a c-section is all.

we will send placenta moving vibes your way.....Patricia

I think I am scheduled for another ultrasound the beginning of September..... hopefully it will have moved.....

I hope I don't have to have a C-Section.... they kind of scare me because I am extremely claustrophobic... and hate not being able to move and the feeling of being restrained...

Thanks for the placenta moving vibes

Hi Jill.......

I was actually on insulin......

mixed dose in the morning log and short acting, then short acting before dinner and then long-lasting before bed.

I was able to keep my sugars in Mostly under control through diet and the insulin......with a few highs every week, but mostly on target.

There is a pregnant with diabetes board on babycenter....the women are mostly gestational diabetes but there are also type 1 and type 2 diabetics who pos there as well.

I'm on there as Kiki2466

Congrats on your baby girl Kiki...she is too adorable.

I just got my appointment for my second ultrasound and some tests that need to be done. I have a sister with Downs syndrome and my mom had her when she was about my age so they need to run some tests to see that everything is okay with the baby. I am not nervous about it at all because I will love him or her just the same.

I will also find out the gender so that is something to really look forward to.

MarilynP I hope your next visit brings good news. Let us know what happens.

Hello everyone! I am new to this post. I was happy to see this thread was here!. My fiance and I had a baby girl last June. She is 14 months now and we are expecting our second child in the beginning of Jan'07. Real shocker to find out we were pregnant again so soon but happy as can be! Our daughter is so much fun that i'm excited to know I get to see everything all over again! Granted the labor isnt much fun but it passes and is worth it. Looking forward to talking to you all here.
