AAWWW...thanks for posting the great news and pics Christina!! (L) She looks absolutely adorable and definately a good size baby!! :P

Congrats to the new parents and also to the new additions to this thread (we even have twins now!!!). (F)

I packed my hospital bag yesterday, the only thing that's still out is the take-me-home outfit that I just washed and a couple other things that will be packed today. I am very excited and nervous...I started having more and more Braxton-Hicks contractions everyday now, not painful but some are really annoying.... but the best thing about this week is that on saturday I enter the 37th week and my baby is going to be officially considered "full term" even though the due date is march, 4th!! People have already started betting about the possible date...looks like most think he will come in february (and I secretly hope the same as well... ).

OK...off to have breakfast now! Have a great day everyone!

OMG!!! That baby is huge!. Ouch.

Hi there, Henry is almost 20 month now and in kindergarten here - which is pretty normal and accepted by mothers and families.

I'm trying to find any information on day care/ kindergarten for infants under 3 years in the US and it seems to be difficult to find other than private day care....

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Anja

The baby was 8lbs and something ounces (don't remember how many) and was 21 inches long! Her feet and fingers were long! My friend who had her is tall but very slender. The poor baby had a few little bruises on her just from being born!! :(:)

I had the impression that all daycare in the US was private. I've only looked at one, and the fees for toddlers are $1,000/mo... (they have to be 18 mo, so it would not even apply to me). It seemed like a good one though. I will be doing more research, and would like to hear how you guys are managing/planning for daycare.

BTW, the baby looked like it was older than a newborn! Wow.

Uff, $1,000.00 is a bit high for my budget.... It is Euro220.00 here including meals, diapers, ...

Maybe I find some nice family in my area for part time daycare. I just would like to work as soon as I get my GC. Feel kind of rusty.

Cheers Anja

I had a licensed home daycare for about 5 years. I watched all ages, but was limited by the state to 2 babies under the age of 12 months at a time. I charged a flate rate of $75.00 per week.

If you do look into finding private in-home care for your children make sure that the person is licensed by the state you live in.

Here is a good web site for information and resources, http://www.ccppin.com/ they also have a chat that providers from all over the world go into...they also have a directory of daycare providers by state and city.

Hope this helps

Patricia

That little girl is so pretty......... :D

She was 21 inches long. She will be a tall girl. My oldest boy was 9 lbs 10 ozs and was 21 inches long. He is 21 years old now and 6 ft 2 inches.......... :D My youngest son was 9 lb 2 on and was a month early, he was 19 inches long. He was tiny and short up until he reached 16. Now he is 5 ft 8 in. He finally grew tall........lol. Thought he was going to be a shorty.
