I've never seen anything sold in a dollar store that ISN't of dubious (at best) quality.

March 10, 2005 mailed AOS and EAD applications to Chicago

April 18, 2005 EAD and AOS receipt dates for NOA

June 30, 2005 AOS RFE evidence submitted (translated birth certificate)

August 10, 2005 ---EAD approved via infopass appointment

October 18, 2005 - AOS interview in St. Louis - received an RFE for vaccination supplement

February 9, 2006 - denial for AOS letter due to the wrong form being submitted from the doctor. PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO YOU!!

February 16, 2006 - USCIS accepts the motion to reopen without an additional fee - finally something goes right! We should hear from USCIS St. Louis office within 2 weeks.

April 3, 2006 - Received welcome to America letter in the mail!

April 8, 2006 - Received GC in the mail - done for 2 years!!!!

I've never seen HPT at the dollar stores. But if you are ever on a pregnancy or trying to concieve message board you will see that there are a lot of ladies that get them from there. I guess some are just going through them like crazy when trying to concieve that that's where they are cheapest in bulk.

yeah but you can buy the kind the have at the docs that end up being like 20 cents a piece if you buy a pack of them. granted they are just a little test strip with no handle or anything, but when you are talking reliability wouldn't you want something that is higher caliber than the dollar store?

I was on Ortho Tri for a while but had to stop due to my blood sugar levels goin up with the increased estrogen, so didnt take it very long.

If I may ask, what is the age of the oldest one of you thats first time preggers? If I WOULD get that way, would like to know there mite be someone to share some fears with. :huh:

6-15-05 Flew NCY to "fetch" Lake for visit here

8-17-05 He Proposed!

8-24-05 MARRIED!

9- 1-05 - SENT AOS, EAD, AP, & ETC

9-12-05 NOA1 - FOR I-130, I-145, & AP, EAD

10-5-05 RFE for Birth C. & medical

10-24-05 GOT LEARNERS PERMIT

11-3-05 DRIVERS LICENSE :)

11-16-05 overnited RFE

11-17-05 Rcvd NOA2 for EAD, bio set for 12-5-05

11-25-05 Recvd AOS bio letter, apptmt for 12-14-05

12-5-05 Biometrics (they did BOTH!)

Infopass, got temp EAD, AP no luck

12-6-05 Applied for SSN, not in system

12-10-05 AP finally arrives!

12-11-05 1 year EAD card!

12-23-05 Interview letter arrives! 3-3-06

I am 39 and will be 40 in June. I post on the babycenter.com "over 35 and pregnant" and "over 40 and pregnant boards" alot......not sure how old you are, but there is great info o those boards.

TONS of women having kids at my age....makes me feel better :)

anyone had ortho tricyclen (sp??) fail on them around here? that's what i use ...

nizzar and i had a nice, very honest conversation about fears and pregnancy, pros and cons both ways, and he made me feel a lot better about the possibility (i've always been nervous about motherhood :blush: )

Ortho Tri-Cyclen hasn't let Ewen and me down yet! :) I'm on the generic, but of course it's the same ingredients.

Of course, I'm looking forward to chucking the pills in a couple of years, but for now, it's been reliable for us.

I was actually going to look for this thread this morning. I wanted to share some of the odd and funny things that have happened to me here at the office.

Well, there are two law firms that share this office, and only my boss and two other assistants knew i was pregnant. Then everyone else in the office found out last week (im not one of those that proclaims to everyone "Im Pregnant!!!") and they all bombarded me with questions. One of the ladies here asked my due date and i told here August 12.....she was like "This August???"..................ummm, no, i was planning on delivering the baby when it turned a year old! silly girl.....

Then the other day there were a couple of clients waiting for my boss. My boss had an appointment and told me to start them if hes wasnt back in time. So i go out there and say hi and that the attorney will be here shortly..yada yada...as i lead them into the conference room, the guy turns to me and says, "girl, you are having a big 'ol boy!" ok, thanks for the highly sophisticated and dependable assumption there! i didnt even know these people, first time i had ever seen them, and they announce that im having a boy. We will just have to see next month when i have my ultrasound if he's right!

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

personally, i'd either wait to test, or go see a doctor. An HPT isn't going to give you an accurate reading this early.

I know it's hard to wait. My hubby and I were trying for months before I got pregnant this time. And I wasted soooo many tests by testing too soon.

Hi I am an older mom also will be 40 in aug. this is my 3rd child so not my first but I am older:).

I don't think it's an uncommon thing these days but I know one thing. I sure can tell a difference between being 26 and being almost 40 now ,sure get tired out faster.

Well, I'm 30 having my first, but my mother was 42 when she got pregnant with my youngest sister Róisín (who's now a very healthy 13yrs old!) :)

03.04.2009......Posted I-130 to U.S. Embassy

03.04.2009......Ordered Police Certificate for Visa Purposes from Local Garda Office (ordered over the phone)

03.05.2009......I-130 received at Embassy

03.06.2009......Received Police Cert

03.18.2009......I-130 Approved

09.10.2009......Medical Exam

09.23.2009......Embassy receives Notice of Readiness

10.13.2009......Received our interview date

10.29.2009......Successful interview!

11.5.2009........Visa received in post

11.7.2009........All the family flew to the US together :)

12.20.2009......Received Welcome to America letter

12.24.2009......10 year Greencard received in the mail
