it's hard to tell since I am usually wearing flip flops or sneakers.

ugh i couldnt wear flip flops.. they hurt soooo much when i was preggers.. but now i have no problem at all.. lol

Well, flip-flops in December in St. Louis won't work. I was lucky that a friend gave me a pregnancy coat so I am not freezing at least.

My feet are so huge if you press on the skin the indent stays!!!!! my hands and face are swollen to, no protein in urine so no pre eclampsea, thank goodness.

HI lizzy, i had the same problems, my feet and hands were huge and swollen, so much in fact that i had to wear my wedding bands around my neck on a chain, and i went up a shoe size. i was admitted at 35 weeks as my blood pressure overnight rocketed, and i suddenly started spilling protein in my urine, i devloped pre eclampsia and my son was delivered via c-section at 35 weeks, not trying to freak anyone out! Just keep an eye on it as it can literally happen overnight, also limit sodium intake as that worsens the problem

Yes, Lizzy, be careful. My doctor says that if you press and the indent stays, it is a bad sign. I would check with your doctor just in case.

Oh dear really? now i am scared.. i have a doctors appointment on Tuesday and i just had one this Tuesday. My blood pressure was 127/78. My normal blood pressure is 110/60. They said this was normal. I think my urine was ok. The doctor looked at my feet also while i was there and plainly saw the indent my sock made.

What should i look out for? No headaches here or lights in eyes. Am i ok to wait till Tuesday for my 36 week appointment? There is going to be a huge snow storm here tomorrow starting early and i wont be able to leave the house then.

Lizzy, don't freak out. If the doctor looked at your feet and didn't say anything and your blood pressure was ok, I wouldn't worry.

Probably you are ok to wait until your next appointment but I would bring this subject up with him.

When my feet got swollen overnight, I called the doctor and he asked me to come the same day to check my blood pressure and protein. They were fine and the doctor asked me to watch for indents because that was a bad sign as he said. Maybe all doctors just have different approaches.
