I am nesting like crazy, I can't stop buying, cleaning and organizing.

Looking forward to Christmas. First I won't go to work after that and second I love presents.

I am worried about Marylin, though.

As for Marilyn, her profile says she was last seen on VJ on the 9th. I wonder why she hasn't posted? She probably has no idea how worried we all are...

Awww, that stocking is adorable!!!

Since we already went to Canada to visit my in-laws, we have done the Xmas gift exchange there. I still have to shop for my parents, a few friends, the cat of course!!! ... oh yeah, and hubby too ... LOL!

LMFAO  so true. Every year my dad puts together stockings and gifts from 'Santa Paws' for the pets. He even cooks them a special Christmas breakfast. Got to take care of the furry babies, too :)

Wow, why America is so behind on maternity leave policies?

Not for the lack of money, I believe.

Lack of forward thinking, IMO. Its the same policy applied to group healthcare benefits and vacation/sick time. Most companies dont allow you to take more than 1 week off at a time in America. Before Ahmed got here, he just could not understand how any employer would limit their employees' vacation to anything less than a month. American companies seem to be more interested in short-term gain, rather than long-term goals. If they were more focused on the future, they'd put more effort into preventative measures. For example, my company pays for us to all have a free membership to Sam's Club, but hardly any of us use it. We've often suggested the same money could be used for a health club membership, which everyone would be much better off with.

Unfortunately, I dont think any of it will change. American companies are too deeply rooted in what they need/want right now, as opposed to how today's actions and plans will benefit the future.

I bet you'll start using that Sams Club membership when you have to buy diapers!

Does anyone use cloth diapers these days? I know back in the day my mom used cloth diapers. Where would you find them? I am thinking of ways to save money.
