I am having a really bad pain in my lower belly, it is so called ligament pain which feels like somebody kicked you there really hard. I know it is normal and common but it hurts so much that I can't walk.

And I can't wear my support belt any more as it doesn't fir into my pants, the belly took all the space.

Does anybod know what can be done to ease it?

Anyway, here's a picture of my chunky monkey. post-8428-1196711062_thumb.jpg

Wow, he is so cute, I love those eyes....

Maternity leave is just another reason for me wishing we could live in Croatia as opposed to here: 6 monts on full pay and another 6 months on 80%.

Here, I didn't even have a right to maternity leave cause I haven't been at my job for a year so I ended up taking unpaid leave for 3 months  We are still recovering from it financially....

Naturalized! Yeah!

Marilyn, I've had various abdominal aches and pains all throughout my pregnany, and it's never resulted in anything detrimental to my baby. Hopefully, it's the same for you. I've called my doctor's office a couple of times for it, however. You can never be too certain

Lyuba...VERY good question. I wonder where we could get a satisfactory answer?

I need to gain weight by Friday...

I just weighed myself this morning and I am down about 8 pounds from the weight I started out at at my first prenatal visit.... I was only down about 3 or 4 pounds 2 days ago  my weight seems to fluctuate wildly from day to day...

i just called the doctor's office and the nice nurse lady said that I should stay away from spicy , and or fried foods and dairy for a few days... I then mentioned that I had a couple of hot pockets yesterday and she said that could be it...

she just told me to drink some 7-up, take some tums or rolaids ... and drink some pedio-lyte and to eat solid food...

i feel a little better now that I talked to them.....

MarilynP, I only have one but I have heard from others that each pregnancy is different. A family friend who was pregnant with her third told me that she felt different with all three. Let us know how the appointment goes on Friday!

We spent 4 hours in the ER last night. Eman had a temp of 104 and lost his appetite. Turns out he has an ear infection. We had to stay until his temp went down and he is feeling much better today after being put on antibiotics.

I heard a warm bath and a massage can do wonders for the pain girls.... just don't let hubby massage between your toes as this can cause contractions.

Also the baby has dropped my stomach is so low now that it feels like he is going to fall right on out!! I can breathe again! lol

Oh no, poor little guy. Those infections are tricky. I didn't notice until Adam had a fever of 102. He was still all happy and playing but then something just didn't seem right. He was put on Antibiotics too and got a nice drug reaction after 7 days. They like to give kids Amoxicillin and I've heard so many moms saying that their babes are allergic to it. After that Adam's belly was all jacked up and he was constantly constipated. I'm trying to avoid antibiotics but with an ear infection I'd rather give it to him than be sorry in the end. Wishing you all the best and hopefully little Eman feels better soon.

Wow, why America is so behind on maternity leave policies?

Not for the lack of money, I believe.

Lack of forward thinking, IMO. Its the same policy applied to group healthcare benefits and vacation/sick time. Most companies dont allow you to take more than 1 week off at a time in America. Before Ahmed got here, he just could not understand how any employer would limit their employees' vacation to anything less than a month. American companies seem to be more interested in short-term gain, rather than long-term goals. If they were more focused on the future, they'd put more effort into preventative measures. For example, my company pays for us to all have a free membership to Sam's Club, but hardly any of us use it. We've often suggested the same money could be used for a health club membership, which everyone would be much better off with.

Unfortunately, I dont think any of it will change. American companies are too deeply rooted in what they need/want right now, as opposed to how today's actions and plans will benefit the future.
