My tail bone hurts SOOOO bad!!! As do my hips and back and ribs.

Autumnchick, this sounds like you have sciatica, it goes away after the baby's born.

I am 34 weeks on Wednesday and i feel this baby is getting impatient, i have a feeling i am going to be early, we will see.

Hey ladies...trying to catch up on the posts I missed!

Lyuba you asked about the 3rd tri...I am also tired a lot and achy. I think though that because I am not working, I am not as exhausted because I can sleep more in the mornings or rest during the day if needed. I am not a napper, so if I am tired I lay down but rarely can fall asleep. It's been like that my whole life really, even as a kid. I'm just not a good napper.

I know most women work while pregnant but still I admire those of you who do. I don't think a man could ever truly understand that if he has a coworker who is pregnant, she is working multiple jobs! The most important and tiring being growing a human! The body uses all extra resources for that. Maternity leave should be better than it is in the US.

I am going to IKEA tomorrow in Orlando with my mom and a friend. I think I am going to get exhausted but it's a new IKEA and I really wanted to get some things there before I get any bigger and more sore.

Autumnchik-It does sound like sciatica. I haven't been, but I have heard of women going to chiropractors while pregnant and sometimes it has helped things like that. You'd have to get permission from your OB first of course and ask to be referred to a chiro who knows how to handle pregnant women.

Lizzy-You're really nearing the end!! I know you already have a little girl so do you feel more prepared or is it like doing it again for the first time?

Hi guys!

I haven't been in here a while, but life has just been catching up with me.

Mika is 4 months now, 25 inches long and 15-1 pounds. She is doing great, trying to walk but not even attempting to crawl- she is such a happy baby, smiling all the time

Thank you for your support, ladies!

My biggest chore for yesterday was to remove tags from baby clothes and I got so tired I had to nap for a few hours.

I hope everybody is doing ok. It is great to be here with you.

When does the horrible taste in your mouth end (yuck)! I can't even kiss my hubby.

For me, that awful taste didn't go away until about 18 weeks. But even though it's gone, I still have a difficult time kissing my husband. I just don't want anything close to my mouth...except food!

I didn't really have a weird taste in my mouth...but my nose is very strong so smell has been my big annoyance.

I have discovery health channel on, it's about a baby's movements. They have such cute little babies on the show. They showed a 2 day old baby boy...and a 6 week old girl...awwwww, I can't wait to hold mine! :luv: Babies are SO cute.

Well said, Stina! It's a travesty that so many companies in the US don't provide better maternity leave benefits. Most days it's a fight to just stay at work, but what choice do I have? The least I could be given is paid maternity, but I won't even get that. I am offered 12 weeks leave with my job guaranteed. That's it. As the primary financial resource in my marriage, 3 months with no pay would make it virtually impossible to take care of my family

What makes working so much worse while I've been pregnant is that I work in a department with 23 men and only 4 women...2 of which are gay, so even they really don't sympathize with me much :)

I think for me this is like doing it the first time again. Emily is 6 and i have forgotten a lot of the things i learned while being pregnant and her being a baby. I am actually pretty scared of labor, i think if i was in the UK i would be a little better but i am also looking forward to the new experience of having a baby in the US. The hardest thing i think i am going to encounter is having 2 children instead just my girl!

what a cutie pie. She is real chunky...I love chunky babies.

Speaking of: Adam had his 9 months checkup today and got a flu shot. He is 23lbs 9 oz and didn't even gain a whole pound in three months but he is still in the 80percentile for weight. His height is 28 1/4 inches (50 percentile) and the doc noted that he had seven teeth. Well, no S#*t, guess what he's been biting me with

Anyway, here's a picture of my chunky monkey. post-8428-1196711062_thumb.jpg

Tracy, I agree with you.

Maternity leave policies suck in the US. You have to work almost until the last day and that is REALLY HARD. I can hardly drag my feet. I just want to be at home and rest but I have to go to work every day. :crying::crying:

In Russia you get paid leave 70 days before your due date and then until the baby is 3 years old. And Russia isn't as rich as America.

I am so worried about taking my little one to the day care, I'd rather stay at home with him at least for a year, but without my income we won't survive.

I even wrote our state senator but she wasn't very sympathetic. American women deserve better than 12 unpaid weeks.:angry:

AMEN.

My husband and I have to figure out we're going to live on me getting just 60% of my salary for just 6 weeks. I absolutely insist on taking my full 12 weeks allowed to stay home with my baby. Unfortunately, that might even require going even further into debt.

Ridiculous. We work too hard for this. Just doesn't seem right.
