You girls are so funny! I have hard time washing my hair because I can't bend at all and I have very very long hair (up to my waist). That's a total pain!

Shaving my legs? Forget about it, it is almost winter and I am wearing pants. My poor hubby juts has to put up with this as he did with my snoring, tossing, turning, burping and complaining all the time how tired I am.

Hey the way I see it, if a mans legs can be hairy why can't a womans? Yes he has to deal with it, I am not going to do it just for him. Especially while pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I don't go out showing off hairy legs, I'm not that "hippy", but if I am wearing pants then yes I do. No one can see! And hubby doesn't count. If my legs are going to show then I'll shave...otherwise, nahh.

Hey ladies :) Just FYI re: food additives. When I had posted my question, I had read about avoiding some food colorings in "What to expect when you are expecting" and some other books I have at home. Just found this online at pregnancytoday.com:

Food Additives

Many foods we enjoy are full of preservatives, flavor enhancers, colorings and even hormones and antibiotics. Surprised? Food additives help foods look and taste better – sometimes – and last longer on the shelf. Organic foods and produce have the fewest chemical residues and additives and often taste much better, too.

Most additives are safe during pregnancy. After all, the majority of women don't change their diets much during pregnancy and still have perfectly healthy babies. However, there are a few additives that you should watch out for. Read labels more carefully during pregnancy.

Additives to avoid include the following:

* MSG – Monosodium glutamate is a flavor enhancer in bouillon and Asian foods that can cause headaches and stomach upset.

* Artificial food colorings – Colorings are in many processed foods, and most are considered safe during pregnancy. The ones to avoid are: blue 1, blue 2, green 3, red 3 and yellow 6.

* Olestra (Olean) – It just hasn't been tested thoroughly enough to be recommended during pregnancy.

* Saccharin – It has not been shown to be safe in pregnancy.

* Cut the fat off red meat – Chemicals in animal diets often concentrate in the fat.

Okay, I know I am probably being paranoid, but if it says to avoid Yellow 6 and Blue 2, then why the $%#$#% are they in my prenatal vitamins?!!?

I woke up with some relatively major pain in my lower abdomen...making it difficult for me to stand upright and walk. But I find complete relief when I sit down. That's just due to the pulled and stretched ligaments, right?

I'm not worried, really. Just uncomfortable and walking s l o w...

havent posted in a while but wonder if anyone could help me out. Dylan is now 8 months but he was born 5 weeks premature. My husband and i are a little concerned because he still is not sitting up by himself nor is he crawling. hes making moves to try to crawl but so far no luck. Should we take into account the fact he was early? plus he hasnt cut a tooth yet, but seems like he has been teething forever!!!

Yes, with preemies you correct their date. So Dylan is actually only 7 months old. With overdue babies you don't correct it.

I wouldn't worry. I met a seven months old boy on Thanksgiving, he didn't crawl or sit...One day, he'll just suddenly sit up and crawl, I'm sure. Adam started crawling, standing up and cruising all in one day..it was crazy..and we had a very tought night since it was a little too much for him to comprehend.

Yes, definetely. The first two teeth were terrible, then it got better. Actually, he also had an ear infection when he got his first tooth. I took his temp and it was at 102F, scary. He didn't have a fever with the other teeth and what really helped us was Hylands Teething Tablets and of course orajel.

Everytime when I breastfeed I see two little toothmarks on my nipple, haha. Those don't hurt. He did bite me a couple of times though and I just wanted to cry..

Anyhow, good luck little Dylan and hopefully those teeth will come in soon.

My first had her first teeth at 4 months, just like me. Number two got his first two a couple of days after his first birthday (!) just like his dad and his dads siblings actually. Number 3 had 8 months of toothless smiles before the first two rice kernels showed up, so landed somewhere in between =)

And I wouldn't worry about the not sitting or crawling yet as long as he's practicing his motorskills in other ways. It'll come and then you won't have a moments peace =D

I have had very early walkers (7 and 8 months, many bruises...), but late talkers. Once they start with either they just won't stop ;)

D got his 1st tooth with 3 1/2mo.. 2nd one was 4 days later.. #6 came in 3 days ago..

started crawling (backwards) with 5mo.. and forwards about 2 weeks ago..

started sitting with 4mo for 5-7sec and 3 weeks later he was sitting up to 2hrs straight..

now he started to pull himself up and he stood up a couple times alone but he always falls back and bangs his head on the wall or hardwood floor.. ugh :crying:
