i had a little scare....

read with caution ... graphic details :P

yesterday I woke up around 5am and I wasn't feeling good at all... my stomach really hurt.... it hurt off and on all day... I was scared because I thought they might be cramps... I also was having a hard time going to the bathroom ... and right before bed I noticed some red stuff on my poo (maybe TMI)

:P I did manage to get to sleep but I woke up around 3:30am and I still wasn't feeling good.... finally around 4:30 when my hubby was going to work I was in the bathroom and I wiped my butt and I noticed some bloody mucus :o I called hubby and we decided that we would go to the ER....

when the doctor finally saw me after about 2 hours  (they wouldn't even let hubby in with me :( ) she did a quick vaginal and rectal exam and then sent me for an ultrasound... turns out everything is ok with the baby... that is why I went because I wanted to be sure.. after last time I didn't want to take any chances... I do have to schedule an appointment with a GI doctor for some kind of test to check for internal hemorrhoids ( I do have external ones) but the nurse said they won't do the test for a while because of me being pregnant....

as for stomach pains the ultrasound person said that maybe I just had a hard time digesting something... like cheese and I said I have been eating a lot of cheese... so maybe that was it....

anywho, now I feel a a little bad because hubby had to wait in the waiting room for hours without really knowing what was going on.... hubby also had to take the day off of work with no pay because he had no days left.. so know he decided to work Friday to kind of make up for today.. he will get double time and half.....

I forgot to add that we were at the hospital from about 5 am to about 11:30 am :o

Thanks for all the well wishes, ladies. :) I had my appt at my OB office, fast and simple appt, heard baby's heartbeat, etc. I asked about my sinus congestion and I can take Tylenol Sinus, but I don't even feel good enough to go back out to the store to get some so I am trying other techniques like breathing in hot water. I need my mommy! Or my husband! :innocent: Help!

Marilyn-Glad baby is ok! Sorry you had that scare. Your poor hubby waiting! I bet he was relieved though.

You have any chicken broth @ home (or even just some uncooked chicken)?

Boiling that with pepper (this will need to be taken unsweet as mulligatawny) will probably have good effect (chicken soup is known to be excellent for colds).

thanks :) we think she is pretty special :luv:

You dont have much longer! although these last few weeks sure pass the slowest between feeling huge and cumbersome and counting the days...

hang in there and enjoy it and use this time to see all the movies that are out for the holidays, it will be a while after baby until you get to do that again :)

Yes, you are right.

It is hard to enjoy those last weeks though, I feel like a stuffed elephant and I miss wearing cute clothes and being able to bend and cook and clean. I want to feel pretty again. My hubby says I look as attractive as ever but I think he must be blind.

I finally had energy to try going to a store today. I went to Target. Things are a little crazy since kids are out of school here the whole week and ppl are already holiday shopping it seems. They were sold out of Tylenol Cold and Tylenol Sinus. Argg! They had some similar meds but I didn't feel comfortable getting them instead b/c of the ingredients in the mentioned meds. There was a variation in the ingredients. The tylenol cold/sinus is behind the pharmacy counters now b/c of idiots who use the psuedophedrine to make meth but anyway they were sold out. :( So I got no medicine and didn't feel like trying another store, I used too much energy. I do feel a little better today though. It's going away slowly.

Sorry for being a downer! :P I hate being sick!

my favourite chicken soup for when I am not feeling well, is the Lipton Chicken noodle soup that comes int he packets and you just add water...

I usually add some frozen vegies to it too, like corn or peas etc...

Hope you feel better soon, stina...

Feel Better Christina! Sorry you are sick!

I had to drink the drink today and have the blood drawn. It wasn't too bad. The bad part is that I gained 10 lbs from my last appointment 4 weeks ago. OOOOpppps. Now I have to watch it. I have gained 23 lbs already. I wasn't planning on worrying about it, but 10 in 4 weeks is alot. I need to watch it :(

I am nearly half-way and have only gained 5 pounds. My doctor says the baby seems to be growing fine, so she is happy with my weight so far.

If she says everything is fine, then I'll believe it too!!!
