i have no energy to do anything today...

I have some dishes to do, some dinner to get started and a shower to have and I really don't feel like doing anything.... :help::unsure:

I really wish my mommy lived closer we could go have dinner at her place :crying:

So far the most difficult thing about being pregnant has been coming to work everyday with constant morning sickness and complete exhaustion. I feel you, Marilyn

When I finally get home from work each day, I do NOTHING. My poor husband

hubby did say he will help me make dinner when he gets home from the gym

it is pretty simple anyways... we had some leftover meat and rice so we are going to have a stir fry...

I hear ya! My morning sickness is finally letting up a bit, but it was hell for a while at work. I kept having to run out of sessions with my clients to go throw up. I still have no energy though. Hubby is very good at taking care of me, not so good at housework ... which stresses me out because I hate my house being messy. ARGH!!!

I had that for a while too last month. I hope it clears up soon. I took benedryll and an albuterol inhaler at nights to try and help, or I woke up not being able to breath. My GP put me on a zpack as well. My kids seem to bring every infection home to me hehe The doctor explained the reason pregnant women get sick so quickly is because the baby is using all of our immune system and we're getting sloppy seconds :) Make sure you're getting lots of OJ and water!

Feel better soon!

And thank you for the well wishes they are appreciated :)

My house is awful. Luis tries, bless his heart, but it's just getting worse and worse. It's a vicious cycle. I'm too sick and tired to clean, especially after working all day, and my weekends barely give me enough time to recover for the upcoming week. AND, we're too poor to hire a maid!!

What's a pregnant woman to do?!?!?!?

LOL!!! We are living the same life!!! My mom just visited, which was very helpful (she cleaned a lot!). Sadly, it is already getting messy again :(

Also, for Stina -- I suggest you keep some honey and black peppercorns around the house.

A good treatment for colds (and coughs) is to put some peppercorns in water, boil out the essence and mix the resultant concoction with honey (filtering out the used peppercorns). It eases congestion and also soothes the throat.

Note: this MUST be done in saucepan on stovetop, never by nuking.

@ the girls who already gave birth: how much do you have to say in the hospital - what if I don't want Oxytocin or what if I want to try to have a natural birth? I heard and read a lot that doctors in the US push women to have c-sections and all kinds of medications... I don't have a problem with meds, but I am planning on making it as long as possible without any intervention... And I wonder if those wishes are respected at all. Any experiences?

I've had two lovely little boys naturally, with no drugs. For my first, I was in the hospital for 3 days and 2 nights (in PA it is state law or some such, that you keep the mother in the hospital for at least 48 hours after birth). For my second I was in the hospital for 4 days and 3 nights. I used a hot shower through both labours for pain management, and it was absolutely heavenly. With the warm water beating down on you, you lose track of time and don't think about the pain. With my second son I had a nurse harass me that I needed to take some medicine to "sleep between contractions" - she even decided to stop asking me because I kept saying "NO!" and started bugging my husband and mother - who both said "she has insisted she doesn't want anything." In the end, I prevailed and had no drugs and did both naturally. I hope to do the same this time (especially the shower!).

Our place is getting messy too. I am just too big and tired to clean and I can't bend at all. My hubby is doing his best and I try to appreciate his efforts. After all it isn't the most important thing in the world.
