Anxious: Sorry you are overdue :( When are they scheduling things? Your baby is so comfy and loves it's mommy!

TracyLuis: Isn't it sooo cool to hear that hearbeat! Soon she will be able to hear it at every appointment!! It is so reassuring that everything is going well and that there is nothing to worry about.

Just sitting here...waiting for our u/s....wishing the baby would move around more so that I am more relaxed...I want to know everything is ok...talk about obsessive parent :)

Luis and I heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time yesterday...at just 9 1/2 weeks!

It was absolutely unbelievable :wub:

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow is my ultrasound where hopefully we will be able to know the gender! As long as baby cooperates! :)

heh.... for some reason I thought you'd be someone who would want to wait for the surprise of knowing the gender until birth. :P

Nevertheless, good luck at the ultrasound!

Ace-I had an appt yesterday and it had been 8 weeks since my last one, b/c my office had to reschedule me. So I was a nervous wreck before it and every bad thing possible comes into your mind. I still only feel the baby slightly, no "kicks" just little feelings that make me say "hmm I think it was the baby moving..." so I was worried.

But yesterday I finally got to hear the heartbeat and know again that everything was fine. I hadn't heard the heartbeat yet, it didn't get picked up by doppler at 11.5 weeks. I saw it on u/s but not heard it. So it was so cool! i video-ed a little on my cell phone for Suj to hear b/c he couldn't come to the appt. But he will be coming tomorrow!

I'll look for an overdue ticker now. Something like...... 10 months pregnant is loads and loads of fun yay.

fyi, no induction for prev. c- sect.......they only repeat c -sect u...they don't care if I had a natural birth

after the c- sect. Gotta love hospital policy/ liability politics. If I knew this b4, I would NOT

be delivering at this hospital.

not fair! my c-sec was a decade ago..no scar tissue etc. the risk of them re-cutting the same spot adding scar tissue

is greater than the risk of my abdomen tearing from stretching from a natural birth.

Awww hang in there :( I read that nipple stimulation helps to produce the natural pitocin to bring on contractions...but definitely check with doctor first about it. Seems like your little one is comfortable in there (L)

TracyLuis - we saw our baby on the ultrasound before we heard on the doppler, but everytime I hear it is it so amazing...I still can't believe that before the year is over I will be a mother :blink::lol:

Jax - how is the morning sickness? Ginger tea helped me...we got some from the Caribbean market and Trader Joes. Mints also helped (hard peppermint candy, Wrigleys mint gum) but the damn saltines did nothing for me. I think it's BabiesRUs that has the pregnancy pops (lollipops) that are supposed to be good too. I never vomited but the nausea was unbearable at times, and the smells of certain foods would make me want to jump off a cliff!

Good luck Stina. I wish we could find out, however it is against the law to find out in India. We tried, but the doctors don't allow it here... oh well.

Eveline I know what you mean about googling everything on the net. My wife usually does that. She is on the laptop weekly checking up on things. However, she is on the net mostly to read up on the baby weekly progress. The net is so handy in that way, there is so much detailed info. on pregnancy on there.

In Canada doctors can't let you know either if it is a boy or a girl but I am not sure why....
Probably due to the incidence of sex-selection abortions in China (higher than even in India, due to one-child policy) and India--as Indians and Chinese are substantial minorities in Canada.

:lol: Another boy for the VJ baby thread!!

We are both really happy!! There hasn't been a baby boy in either sides of our families in a long time. I love baby girls too, but having a baby boy brings a nice change to both our families! :dance:

My appt wasn't until 4pm and then my parents took us out to dinner at a Thai restaurant so we just now got home. So glad to know what we are having! :D
