Good Luck with that dalegg

Just thought I would check in...Gorgeous pictures eveline!

All is good here. My nausea has been a little better this week...My new favorite foods are mashed potatoes and ice cream. The thought of eating veggies grosses me out. I used to eat a tomato and 2 salads every day and now it just sounds so icky! I hope I can get something other than junk in me soon!

Cristina...how are you?

Tonya...any baby pictures you can share with us?

Cute pics Eveline!

dalegg-glad everything went well.

Ace-I am still dealing with nausea and sometimes throwing up(ewww), especially from about 10am to 12pm about every day. Then sometimes again in the evening. I don't have any cravings yet, a lot of time nothing looks that good to eat to me. One day one thing will look okay, the next day I won't want it anymore. I am ok with salads but vegetables otherwise do not look appealing to me either. Right now I am just eating plain buttered toast for breakfast.

My next appt is this Tuesday. :)

Yeah! You are almost out of the dreaded first trimester  On to the honeymoon trimester where you start to feel better, start to show and start to feel the baby moving around! I am close behind you! The weeks are flying by...by the time my next appointment rolls around (July 30th) I will be one day shy of 11 weeks. I keep praying! I haven't had any spotting...have you? I still look every time. I was looking at my calendar and I just missed my 2nd period. So weird! and it says I am starting my 3rd month...so very exciting and I am happy to be moving out of the danger zone.

Hi everyone. I'm new to this thread, and an expectant father. My wife is due at the end of January/early Feb. My wife has had really bad nausea for the past month-pkus. She hasn't tossed the cookies too much. She can't do much of anything and has tried different things: unisom, regilan, etc. I know a lot of it is waiting for the first trimester to end, but how are other dads dealing with this? It's really hard for me to see my wife like this. She has been getting a little better, but it still pains me to see her in this condition.

The best think my husband has done to help me is :

1. not comment when all I want to do is sleep on the couch

2. not comment on what I am eating and how much

3. been so kind as to help out around the house to make my life easier

4. not drive like a total maniac when I am in the car

5. ask me how I am feeling and if there is anything he can do

It will pass. At least that is what everyone keeps telling me! I find that if I keep my tummy full, I feel better. Every woman is different though. And hard candies helped, too. Cinnamon ones are my favorite.

My hubby handled it pretty cool. Just being supportive like getting his own

dinner when I was grossed out by food smells and didn't really cook, running in with a bowl for me to

toss my cookies when he knew I wasn't gonna make it to the bathroom, and being very observant to my many changing needs.....setting aside his cologne which stunk to me that first month etc......

It'll get better soon.

@ ace: I still don't like veggies that are hot...I can do salads with chicken in it, and i have the

worlds most fabulous icecream collection in my freezer. And everyone in the house knows they can lose

a hand if so much as a scoop is missing :star:

Thanks for the advice. I have been very supportive for her and she aprpeciates it. The hard thing is seeing her feeling bad for not being able to do everything. She beats herself up that I work all day and then have to take care of her. Physically I'm fine with everything. It's just emotionally draining...seeing her sick/upset/etc...not being able to do a thing and everyone has their own "cure all."

I haven't had any spotting either, I'm glad you haven't too! I am relieved b/c on babycenter where I talk to a group of ladies who were ttc around the same time as me and then also got pregnant(some a few months ahead of me), almost all of them had scary instances of spotting/bleeding more than once. But thankfully they are all doing good, no bad news. So I'm thankful I haven't had spotting. I know what you mean about checking, I haven't been as worried about it in the past 2 weeks as I used to be. I'm still praying too. :)

YAAAAAAAAAAY Cindi!

:dance::dance::dance:

and to jg am, dont worry too much, you sound really sweet and I guess I cant speak for anyone but myself (and I am thankfully a very nonsick pregnant woman) but even the discomforts that can come with a pregnancy are a gift in their own way. Its such a blessing and a joy to be creating and carrying a life that it USUALLY outweighs the pukey and exhausted moments/days/weeks......

Just be there and be supportive and be engaged and when its time be a great dad!
