she checked my cervix and its already softened.. (watever that means.. lol) its now almost 8hrs since i had my docs appt and i had some more contractions.. my dad is freaking out cuz i havent packed my hospital bag yet and its pretty funny to watch him.. Congrats Keltic! What a beautiful baby--and the pic with big sis is very cute too. :)

I was hoping for St. Patrick's Day babies, but they decided to hang out for a bit longer in the womb. I can't believe that my girls haven't arrived yet. Apparently I make a pretty good home or something...

My doctor will induce sometime next week if the babies don't come on their own because apparently twins' placentas stop functioning well at 38 weeks. I used to be against induction, but believe me I'm feeling pretty pro-induction now.

The thing that has been getting me through this last bit is this fantastic tea that has helped so much with the swelling in my feet. http://www.yogitea.com/Organic-Tea/Tea.asp?Tea_ID=WT03 When I used to get up in the morning my feet were swollen even though I had been on my left side all night. Now when I see my feet in the a..m. I almost feel like I have my girlish figure back!

I had my appt yesterday, it was so short and uneventful that I wanted to ask the doc: "Wait, is this what I paid 25$ for?"

She literally came in, measured my uterus, listened to Mika's heartbeat on the little portable ultrasound and that was it. See ya' in four weeks. Sheesh.....

In two weeks I have my second blood work for gestational diabetes. YUCK!

Naturalized! Yeah!

I know what you mean in between my ultrasounds I had an appt. like that. My OB Just came in listened to the baby's heart beat...he answered the few questions that I had. And that was it.

That was Adams birth weight. I can't believe he is such a big baby. Our next appointment is in May and he'll get some shots. I know I'll cry my eyes out, I don't wanna go there...Other than that we are doing great. We're having some breastfeeding issues but my nurse will help me on Tuesday with that. I have too much milk coming in when he latches on (overactive letdown) and it just squirts everywhere what makes Adam choke and swallow air and then he's busy getting all that air out at night, he cries, moans, complaints and farts a lot...Hope that'll get better soon.

Glad to see that everyones pregnancy is going soooo well. Enjoy it ladies.

Removal of Conditions Timeline:

Eveline, I had an over-active letdown when I nursed my daughter as well. I remember one time just after Alli latched on, she suddenly let go and my friend across the table almost got some unwanted milk in her coffee!

The nurse suggested that when my milk let down to let it go into a towel first and then feed my daughter once it abated. Or also, self-expressing some into a sink or something before I fed her took the "edge" off too if you know what I mean.

Once Adam gets a little older, the over-active letdown won't be so much of an issue.

Yes--my babies were born! I was induced on March 28th at 11:30 a.m. with pitocin (and eventually breakage of one of the amniotic sacs). I never progressed past 4 cm of dilation, so I ended up needing a C-section and had it on March 29th at 12:30 in the afternoon.

Haneul was born first at 1:04, weighing in at 6 pounds 5 ounces and measuring 18 inches.

Iseul was born second at 1:07, weighing 7 pounds 15 ounces and measuring 20 inches.

Haneul is in the NICU because she has a group B strep infection and will be there until next Saturday, so she won't be able to go home with us tomorrow. (I was tested for group B strep twice and both times it came out negative, but I obviously had it. Haneul has the infection because she was in the amniotic sac that was broken and had the head heart monitor and contraction monitor in her sac.)

Iseul is a little jaundiced and under the bilirrubin light now, but has been rooming in with us.

Both are beautiful and sweet babies. You can see their pics at my blog. http://kristijo.blogs.friendster.com/my_knitting_blog/ ; Click the pictures to make them bigger.
