Everyone here from the Philippines have gone to St. Luke's it seems, so it must be the only one. You can check with the USEM Manila web site.

Tests? Blood test for HIV, etc. Lung x-ray. Eye exam. Physical. You can get all the results in a few hours. At least in Bumrungrad International where I got mine (Thailand). They will give you the results in a sealed envelope, if they don't send directly to the USEM. You'll know if the results are all normal or not.

You'll also get vaccinations. Get your records ready. If you don't have them, ask your parents what shots you got, and what diseases you had before (e.g. polio, measles, etc.) If you got one and recovered, you don't need the shot since you're immune. If you don't know any of this, they'll just give you the shots appropriate for your age and condition.

Make sure you are NOT pregnant. Do it just after your period to be sure.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but my Fiance had to fly to Manila for her exam, as we were told St Luke's is the only hospital that can sign off on her exam for the Embassy. She is from Cebu. I have already flown her now two times for the exam to Manila, because she couldn't pass the sputum test the first time. We are now waiting for at least two months for the results. I wish you the best.

As the instructions say, the US Embassy uses St. Lukes Extention Clinic for their exams. That means they dont permit you to go to another place.

The Extention Clinic is not on the main grounds of St. Lukes Medical Center. I made the stupid mistake of driving to the main hospital, only to find out the Extention Clinic is in a different part of the city. The Extention Clinic is very close to the US Embassy. The Embassy is on Roxas Boulevard. Here is the information for the clinic:

SLMCEC is the U.S. Embassy's accredited medical facility. This is were medical examinations (Physical Examinations) for U.S. Visa applicants are done. Located at 1177 J. Bocobo St., Ermita, Manila. It is open Monday-Friday (except on Philippine holidays) from 7:30 AM-11;30 AM and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Please call 521-0020 and 521-8647 for more information.
