you can always try sis, just have your reasons more valid like, you need to look for a job and no one will take care of your baby for atleast 6 months (maximum ng tourist) or maybe goin on a tour perhaps?

dont forget the ties that would make them believe na your parents are going to come back ( money, properties, jobs, etc)

goodluck sis..

probably that is not a strong reason to get the tourist visa for your parents, and check with the flight regulations about pregnancy.cos i think in the last months of your pregnancy it is hard to fly

Unless your parents have a lot of assets in the RP to return to, they likely will not get a tourist visa. It is your decision to leave your parents for a foreign land so COs aren't sympathetic to your desire to have parents by your side in the USA, because you can stay in the RP if you want, nothing "forcing" you to go to the USA is the way they see it.

Again, about the assets, if they don't have them, consider the cost to apply a waste of money.

Sorry, I don't mean to be harsh, just being honest.

i just want someone to fly with since i have my baby with me who is very makulit..

so it really depends on the ties hey have to show to the CO..

i think they can prove that they will comeback here in the PI..

Imagine a woman in the USA that has adult kids in the RP and she is very sick in the hospital and might die, the adult kids want to go to the USA to be with her, the kids are usually denied a visa. Only if they have very very very strong ties to the RP will they get a visa. Strong ties usually means lots of money (assets), money is the most important strong ties of all, I think.

A "makulit" baby is no reason to give mom or dad a tourist visa - the COs will tell you to leave her home if you can't handle your baby.

you can always try but i dont think you should tell the consul you need your mom to fly with you because of your baby, i have a feeling the consul will make this a reason for a denial. and i bet the consul will make a sarcastic remark to go with the denial.

I agree with Mrsartis, Sis. You can always try as it is a case to case basis and it depends upon the CO who will interview your mother.

Based from my experience last Nov., I have seen people accompany their loved ones in the interview.

If you think that your parents can prove that they have compelling ties to come back to the Philippines, then go for it. Just be sure that they bring all the papers (of their assets etc) with them so they are confident in the interview.

In my case, the CO DID’NT ask for any bank statements. I was even going to show him the title of my property but he said, “No need, your visa is approved.”

Also in another case, if you will research in this forum sometime Nov or January, there was a fellow VJer who posted that her mom got an approved tourist visa even though her mom doesn’t have a job, a bank account etc. and her mom was able to attend her wedding in the States. So it is really a case to case basis.

Just prepare for a concrete answer to this: What is the purpose of your visit?

Back then, I haven’t gone anywhere abroad kaya di ko sinabing mag totour ako but I still got a positive outcome .

Also prepare for this: How can I be assured that you will be coming back to the Phils? (this wasn’t ask to me but I heard it was asked to another interviewee…hehehe tsismosa)

Hope this help, sis! Goodluck!

since your hubby is in the military he can ask a letter from his CO inviting your mother to come with you here, im planning to do that to my mom also,

i have friends who did that and their mom got approve of a tourist visa, no bank account or assets whatsoever..

im going to have my mum apply for a tourist visa also in aug. : my mum had travel history abroad and ties in PI.

goodluck!

i would suggest wait til you get your visa already. do you have it already? then she can bring it with her

and tell the CO that she'd like to see where her daughter will live and what kind of life she will have there.

but given that the Philippines is a high fraud country, don't expect too much. there are lots of cases where

the person have so many assets here and still nag-TNT sila dun. Kaya even assets are not strong ties.

On going business though will be good... or a good higher manegerial work will be viewed as somewhat

stronger ties.

good luck!
