Did anyone here own a car in HS?

I had a 56' Ford F-100, Hot-Rodded out. Then I got a 67 Camaro SS. Those cars lasted a short while because at 16, the insurance was nearly $12k per year on them. I ended up with the ultimate whiteboy-mobile.... a 1969 El Camino Ohhhhhh yeah. I loved that thing, had it lowered with, low profile tires, a nice 396 big block bored out to 412.

I don't know that I fit in any mold in high school. I was one of the top athletes, but I played water polo and swam.... not popular sport like football. I got decent grades, but I loved to party too much. Class just got in the way of smoking and drinking

I got kicked out of the estudiantina because we decided on going to the mall instead, well not really kicked out, they gave us the option to behave and stay or just give a f'k and by our own decision decide to leave.

I left, was like throwing the finger to their "goodwill"

P.S. I didn't but my mom lent me her Chevy Joy :D

I owned nothing. No car, scooter, or moped. :P

You rode in this? :jest:

short-bus.jpg

:innocent: No. My mom or dad had to pick us up/drop us off or we carpooled with others. Christian schools, no free bus. No free anything, lol. And if you think, private school means we had money when I was young, we didn't. Someone else paid for us to go, anonymously, which was very sweet. Yeah me and my sis actually wanted to go to Christian school b/c our friends were there.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

I was the type who wanted to get a chance to get ahead of my older sister. Because I quicken the pace of my advancement by double dipping the advance and ap courses, I took all the honors courses offered through the school with the exception of french and spainish class....took French for two years (continuing from grade 6-8). They had AP French but I gave up with French. Didn't want to bother. Too much obsession with MIT this, MIT that...

I WAS A CRAZY M-I-T DREAMER! And, disappointed that I got rejected. But, hey...these kids are no less smarter than I am. In fact, we received the same FE scores, and the same PE scores.

PE scores aren't sent out. They just tell you whether you passed or failed.

True. I should've said passed.

Did anyone here own a car in HS?

I did. My grandparents gave me $3000.00 to buy a car for my 16th birthday. So I bought a '88 Honda Accord. I loved that car. But due to my lack of experience in taking care of cars, it died a year later. Then I drove around my parents old mini-van until Sophomore year of college when my parents bought me another car (2000 Mazda), then I moved to London and when I came back for 4 months I bought a little Plymoth Lazer for $1000.00.....which is now sitting in my parents yard with a for sale sign on it! Anyone in Georgia want a 1993 Plymoth Lazer????
