Hi everybody!!!

I am new to this site (just signed up a few minutes ago). I signed up to this site so I could get advice from other people on how to go about getting a Fiance Visa for my fiance who lives in Egypt. I have done some research on the net these past couple of days and and found the forms I need (along with example forms filled out) and instructions on how to fill these forms out correctly and what else I need to send with them. I'd like to do this without an attorney because I don't have that much extra income to pay for an attorney. But, if I have to get one, then I will. I guess my question is this, should I file for a Fiance Visa without an attorney and has anyone here done this without an attorney? After I get all of my paperwork together (have to get certified copy of divorce decree through mail first), we should be able to file the forms in about 2 weeks. Just want input on the correct steps and the order that they should be done, etc etc etc so I can get my fiance here as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance for any help with this matter. ;)

Welcome. It sounds like you've been doing some good research. You'll find people on here very helpful (make sure to read the Guides--there's a link at the top of the page). :D Best of luck to you.

Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

I think you'll find that's a common wish around here. :)

You have found the right forum to answer your questions. Why pay an immigration attorney?..no need to do that, only complicated cases need that service. Your case sounds pretty standard.

Good luck to you all.
