Medical Question for Toronto

Hi Everyone,

On Tuesday I recieved an email stating that my interview is on August 12. There were four pages in the email that stated the time and date of my interview, the Montreal contact information and information about what documents that I need to bring to Montreal (none needed except for medical). There was no information about the medical itself though. Do they send more information on where to go and what to do? They also ask about passport pictures and about bringing them to interview, yet in the checklist it says that I already handed them in. Do I have to bring more pictures? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Check out that site for the Toronto physician Dr. Seiden. You can book the medical now and bring the appointment letter to the medical. You will also need pictures for the medical and pictures for the interview.

They are very friendly at Dr. Seiden's office so they'll answer all your questions for you.

^^Agreed, I also found the staff at Dr. Seiden's very helpful. If I remember correctly you will need 3 photos for the medical and 2 for the interview. Just as an aside, at the interview they didn't use the photos I brought rather the ones I had submitted with my DS-230. I would still bring the two because other filers have needed them. Good luck

Thanks for the advice! I will look into booking my appointment tomorrow. Do they send me any information about the medical or do they expect you to find out this information on your own? I will go and get like 8 passport photos to be sure I cover my butt!!! LOL Thanks again.

When you go to the medical bring your vaccination record(s) if you have them, if you don't try and obtain them from your family physician before you go. You will need this. Also, if you have any medical condition that your family doctor has investigated already, bring records of that, ie. heart murmur, high blood pressure, etc. Take a look on the panel of physicians website for vaccination requirements, to make sure your up to date. If not, try to have them completed before the medical.

You will also need 3 passport style photos, your passport, appointment letter and the fee $275 I believe. Other than that, just make sure that you show up early. Be there by 645 at the very latest. Trust me, the waiting room fills up fast.

The email I got about my interview contained a PDF file which said:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please read and follow all Interview Preparation Instructions located on the Department

of State's web site at: www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov, under the "Intevrview

Preparation" link.

Important information regarding the required medical appointment is listed on this site.

Failure to read and promptly follow all instructions provided on this site will result in

your immigrant visa being refused at the initial interview.

So I guess we're just supposed to get all the info we need from the link provided in the PDF file.

As an aside, I thought it was funny that there is a typo in the appointment letter.
