interview completed

Our interview was completed June 2 in Kuwait. I was present for the interview and I believe it helped. (WOW is it hot there!!!) We waiting for 3 hours and was finally called back, my husband first, then me. The interview questions went like this:

1. How did you meet?

2. How have you maintained your relationship?

3. When did your wife become a muslim? (I was a muslim long before I met my husband)

4. Did she become muslim for you?

5. How did she become a muslim?

6. What does your family think?

7. What does her family think?

These questions were asked to both of us and she checked for exact answers that matched. My husband affered to show her pictures and additional documentation, but she only wanted to see chat documentation (which I thought was different but glad that we were prepared) She did not want to see any other documentation.

She told me that there would now be additional processing but as far as they were concerned everything looked beautiful. I asked her exactly what did that mean. She told me that it included name checks and other things. I asked her "what other things?" she said she did not know and that the office was not privy to that information. The information would be in Washington. I asked her for a timeline and she said maybe 2-4 months, but they have no way of knowing.

I am both happy and discouraged. Still we must wait with no way to check to see what is going on.

The people at this ambassy were very kind and helpful and I thought the interview itself went well.
