Urgent Passport Return

I was interviewed on 9th June 2009 and my case is in admin process, on 23rd June I mailed them to send me my passport back I have to travel Dubai immediately for official trip and i haven't got any reply from embassy neither my passport, i was wondering anyone had same experience and how long does embassy take to return the passport, If I couldn't get it before 1st July it will badly affect on my job too

Call the US Embassy in Islamabad. They don't require that you leave the passport with them while they process your visa, as long as you return it promptly when they need it. Make sure they understand why you need your passport back, and when you need it. Mail is too slow for something urgent like this.

Thanks GOD, finally I got my passport back on July 2 with 5 years multiple entries journalist visa, and tomorrow i'm doing to Dubai,

5 year multiple entries visa for US?! does that mean your AP lasted from June 9th to July 2nd? Just curious :-)
