Hi friends ,

I have some serious problem which i wanted to share actually when i got my PCC from Saudi arabia which was in arabic and they made me 1 year younger on that PCC when i asked Police officer he said its not a big problem its updated wrong by mistake in Police computer data then he said when i will go for translation i should take my original passport with me to show them correct date of birth so thats what i did and they corrected on translation and certified it but im very very worry what if NVC ask about that would that be big prob ???? god im soooo worry but my all other documents have my exactly 100% correct date of birth. plz help

My understanding is that it will be a problem. Whether or not they will accept your explaination or not, I don't know. My guess - No they won't. Everything has got to match, especially when from a country that receives a lot of scrutiny. If I were you I'd be getting a new one ASAP.

I also think that you opened up a HUGE can of worms by having your translator LIE on the translation. It may just invalidate everything that you have had that particular translator translate for you.

The Irish police did the same to me. I didn;t notice till the interview, and had to go back to the police to get it changed. Your original and translation must be the same, don't get the translator to lie, it will delay things much more (and could even lead to a ban) than getting the right police cert now.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Thank you guys for helping me We have told every thing truthfully to them about translation and mistake So now they requested one more POLICE CLEARENCE with correction and true translation ... Now im going to apply for another police record then i wll send them as soon i will get it .
