I agree.

As for my fiance and I, we communicate everyday--YM & over the phone by sending each other text messages or calling. He usually calls me. But lately, I started using International Sim by Sun Cellular so I can also call him now coz it's only less than 5 pesos per min and the text is only 1 peso. :)

Each relationship is unique in its own. For long distance relationships the communication and the trust spectrum (often unspoken) is quite more demanding than those couples who are in close proximity with each other. In essence, what works for each of your relationships may not on others. The frequency and the manner of communication among other things related to showing how much you love each other take life on its own in each and every couple.

One thing only that is to be always hoped for is an honest mind and a pure mind between each other. That each is real in everything. Thought-wise and feeling-wise.

On mine and my love's niche, we communicate very often. Skype I believe is the best thing that ever happened on the internet. We do skype a lot. VOIP, Magic Jack you name it we have it. But nothing beats skype. Emails and short messages every so often. No regularity. I personally believe that regularity takes the fun and excitement of the daily grind. But that is just me. We have yet to try the "keeping the webcam on while sleeping" deal. It sounds nice. Hmmm... good idea :))

:thumbs: Very well said. Thanks for sharing. We only started watching each other while sleeping on cam after his last visit here. We both found out that we can sleep nicely if we know that one of us is wathcing while I/he is snoozing. Sometimes, we keep the headset too and I softly talking to him while he`s about to sleep. You try it...maybe you`ll like it too. :)

excuse me, may I ask? why in the hell it took for 6 years for you to communicate before you reunited?... plenty of time wasted.

I don't think it was really wasted. Over that time we really were able to get to know each other very well. He was finishing law school and I was (still am) finishing my masters. He also works full time and so did I, so getting travel time was hard for both of us especially since his law school would not let him miss too many classes. As soon as that was done though he came to see me and has been here many times since, so it doesn't bother me. That time really allowed us both to get our school out of the way so we could enjoy a great future together. :)

Oh.. and he isn't married (never been) and our ages are just ten month apart, so no worries there either. :)

OFF TOPIC....Hello felb...from UP ka di ba? From what campus? Diliman kasi ako. :)

Iam not sure if there is already a topic about this..but anyway, I just want to share mine.

A long distance relationship is really hard and a constant communication with my fiance really helps me to survive for 6 years.

1. We talk every weekend/holidays on chat (I always make sure I dont have a schedule in the afternoon).

2. I call him everyday to wake him up. We chat on phone while he`s driving to work.

3. He calls me everyday after he leaves work and while driving on his way home.

4. We send each other text messages in the evening before he goes to bed or when I/he is out of the house (party, malls, school, etc.)

5. For 4 years we sent each other emails tons. We stop now because we prefer communications on phone.

6. I even communicate with him even while he`s sleeping. He just leaves his webcam open so I can watch/hear (love to hear his snores, makes me fall asleep) him while he`s sleeping and he does the same thing while I`m sleeping.

He`s always telling me that he talks to me more than he does with his family. Haha. I believe him. I know it is so expensive to make all the calls but hearing each other`s voice helps us to feel that there`s not much distance between us. It shouldn`t be talking about different/new topics because we usually run out of those, but we`re always reminding how much we love/miss and care for each other. What really matters is the happiness that we feel every time we hear/see (webcam) each other for as often as we can.

Well, hope to hear from you guys. :)

i can totally relate. back when we were separated, we talked every single day (in different forms), up to 5 times a day. phone bills were outrageous but our happiness is priceless. :)

 No problem. Thank you so much for taking time to read and reply on my post. I am 100% sure that he`s the right guy for me because he will not wait for me for six years if he doesn`t love me so much and I know I feel the same thing for him. I think in a long distance relationship, one should have a lot of faith, love and trust in his/her partner. Anyway, goodluck din sa`yo.

Maybe you can ask her to have a Skype account then apply for an unlimited call in the US. Every month, I only pay around Php 500~600. That is what I usually use whenever I call my fiance in the morning while driving to work. Also, maybe you can look at some traffic website and maybe she might want to help you out with the traffic situation. While my fiance is driving to work I am checking the www.sigalert.com for the traffic situation in the area and helping him to reach work faster by telling him which road to avoid and road to take. Hehe.

When I call to talk with Sarie, She is either freaked out that I called and VERY quiet (calls are planned of course for her schedule) or...

She is talking so fast that I can only follow about 1/2 of what she is saying...

I keep asking her to slowwww down a bit for me and she is trying but Wow...

So I have this recurring dream that in a few years or so I am married to a beautiful lady from the PI and one day we happen to get into an argument... Nothing big, just minor stuff. She is upset and talking so fast that I can't follow a single word of it... I just smile, and remind her how much I love her... Perhaps give her a big hug... Life moves on!

I was in the checkout at the grocery store the other day and noticed a strange accent with the lady checking out my groceries. I asked her where she was from and she replied Sweeden. I had just spoke to Sarie that morning and had a heck of a time understanding her so I asked this lady if she had ever had difficulties with her and her husband understanding each other at first... She replied that, For the first few years of their marriage, whenever they would have disagreements or minor arguments that her husband would just smile and hug her a lot... She said that after a few years or so he confessed to her that he had NO CLUE what she was saying during those 'discussions' but that her voice was so beautiful he could not help but smile and love her. She said that they have been happily married for about 10 years now and that they now understand each other perfectly... True story friends!!!

Try to hug an American woman when she is mad and see what happens!
