I recieved these in the mail back on april 1st.....I responded to them only to find out yesterday that another RFE was sent in the mail yesterday. If anyone could please look at them and tell me what you think they are asking if would be of great help. I have not recieved the new RFE but can only guess it has to do with the originals sent.

The information that I sent the first time for the RFE was the petioners birth certificate and 12 months of statements of bank account history. My cosponser which is my step mom makes like 70,000 a year.....So I am really confused why we are still gettting RFE 's at this point...

I included pictures of them and hope you can see them...thankyou in advance

Did you show step-mom's income because it seems like they say her income isn't enough and they are suggesting ways to show assets.

You say she's makes $70k. How did you prove it?

2008 income tax with W2s and/or 1099??

Letter from her employer stating her employment status and salary?

Recent pay stubs showing her monthly wage?

If you responded to the RFE to show assets with bank statements, they would need to show balances (like savings) of considerably more than the poverty level.

They are also calling her household member, so did she do an I864A?

They need to see proof that your co-sponsor is a USC, LPR, or has a valid I-94. Send a copy of the passport bio page if USC, or Green Card if LPR.

For you it's asking for bank statements to see if you have enough assets to cover. Not needed if you send the info that will allow them to consider the co-sponsor.

In the oringinal post I meant to say I responded to the RFE's by sending:

my moms birth certificate

12 months of bank statements

The confusing part to me is why they are talking about not meeting the poverty level when my cosponsor is not even close to the minimim

They have her w'2s, letter from employer, and copies of pay stubs...

I never sent any w2's for myself could this be a problem?

I should be getting the new RFE in the mail this week and Im sure it will be the same one or both. Do you think I will get better information about exactly what is needed if I make a infopass appointment.....because i really dont know what else to send at this point

IMO, they want to see if your stepmom worked legally so you should have sent if she was on NIV her i94, passport bio page and visa page. If she was LPR or USC, a copy of her GC or passport/birthcertificate along with the W2s/1099s, tax papers etc... That being said, wait for the new RFE to arrive so you know exactly what they are asking for..

All the best!!!

thank you for the responses I made a info pass for Tuesday. Will I be able to talk with an immigration officer about details of my case? I have never had an info pass appointment and was just wondering what to expect.... All I can think to do is bring all the documentation that was already sent and ask them what else they want.... :crying:

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
