Yes!!! Unfortunately Pakistan is one of the countries in the list. After reading some of the posts on the last page of this thread.... about how are they investigating during AP asking more information about siblings and their DOBs.... and all that special screening.... I have come to the thought... It only targets one's dignity. And I guess its not worth it. All the AP processing, minimum time to the infinite time... possessing right to not to disclose any information is all non sense.... Applying to USA has only become pain in the butt!!! Either we keep our dignities by staying wherever we are or loose it going through all this. Yes have to pay being from a Muslim country.. specially being from Pakistan....

Thaks everyone !

Wishing Ap over soon for all of ya there ! Just hang in there u will do it !

All this random information they are asking for must be for the field investigation. Man...things are getting worst after that Christmas plane event.

Usmomo, I was sent 'interview preparation' link in my appointment letter. I found almost all of the medical examination info there.

This is their panel physician list, depending on which city you are in, you can contact them and confirm. These physicians are there because only they know all the requirements. You should call the one you are planning to go to and get all the information.

http://travel.state.gov/pdf/medical/ISL-ME...L-0001-0907.pdf

and on this link they explain about vaccinations.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3745.html

What vaccinations are required?

The following vaccinations are required for immigration purposes:

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis B

Influenza

Influenza type b (Hib)

Measles

Meningococcal

Mumps

Penumococcal

Pertussis

Polio

Rotavirus

Rubella

Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids

Varicella

Ok now I'm completely confused, :crying: when talking to my husband yesterday. He told me that the lady that did his interview told him when he sends his police clearance to them , to also submit his passport. She also told him she will process his case. I'm I getting excited for no reason ? Cuz I always assumed that the embassy doesn't ask for passport until they are ready to issue visa.

Please does anyone know about this ?

Don't let it stress you, just wait for their response. Insha'Allah it will be a good one after this. I got an email a month ago or so asking for the names and dates of birth of my fiance's parents and brothers. Just wait it out a couple of weeks and call DOS to follow up.

Hi,

I had my interview on Dec 30th 2009 and at the end of it the lady said told me "congrats you're approved and enjoy your new life in America". I got excited thinking I was not going to be put in AP since I lived in US for 5 years, but, then she handed me a Green Sheet saying that I had been put in AP and they will ask for my passport when they are done.

The thing is that she TOOK my passport right then, I even got a little pinkish receipt so I could pick it up from the American Express offices.

I noticed that most people over here placed on AP were returned their passports and told to submit them latter. So why was mine kept?

Its been three weeks now and I still have not heard anything yet.

What does all this mean? They took my passport, so is that a good sign? How long do you guys think I will have to wait in this limbo?

I have been trying the embassy but as you can imagine they have not helped at all. I cant even get through to a person anymore. The phones are stuck in this infinite loop meant to drive us insane :(.

Answers anyone?

Well, they took my husbands passport at the interview and we received the same pink and green sheets. Plus a purple sticker we needed to pickup the passport later on. We had 29 days of AP before we got the call from the speedex(like amex, but for sialkot) to immediately pickup the passport. I had not called the embassy or DOS or anyone to find out about the case, as the CO at interview told us to wait till a month and a half and if we didn't hear from them by then to call and inquire. So I had decided to just wait till at least 30 days to call, so I was going to make my first call the very next day but we got the call to pickup passport a day before so never even got to doing it. If it's been 3 weeks....well, that's a bit soon to get impatient I think. Best thing to do is to try and at least wait for a month or a month and a half till getting worried about it....this way you won't be setting your hopes too high which makes things a lot worse...trust me, I speak from experience.

Good luck, and inshallah you will get the call very soon!

oh and btw....just wondering, for the ap list.....is the beneficiary male or female?
