some people are suggesting us to renew the passport ,CO kept my hubby's passport how can we renew it . they r saying it could be problematic at POE , what u guys think ? any suggestion

No issues saba_yasir .... even if u arrive a day before ur passport/visa expires so no problem ,just renew it when its time to be renewed.

SHUKAR ALLHAMDULILLAH my wife just came out of us embassy and they gave her a token and the guy who did the interview in the end said that you will get your passport in two weeks and in urdu he said mubarak ho aap ko or aap ke betay ko visa mil gaya hai and on the token it is just a serial number please tell me is it ok? the color of the paper is white.

If you mean after the interview......then, a grand total of 0 times. . I never called the dos or embassy, though the speedex in sialkot did call my husband to tell him that his passport w/ visa arrived and that he should pick it up.

Between me and my husband, we call about once a week. I havent been calling lately, but he has been calling the Embassy. It doesnt matter which one you call, they both have the same info available to them and nothing more. You can try emailing or faxing but they almost never reply. So, good luck to you, and like my senator's office said to me.. it doesn't make a whole lot of difference if you call. The only benefit you get is talking to another person about your case. whether its just to hear Still Pending or not. good luck.

You know what....If I think about it responsibly for a minute. To be honest, as much as I would like to I don't really think I'd be the best person for the job Feisal bhai. What with the baby coming in the first week of Feb....I'm not sure how well updated I would be capable of keeping the spreadsheet. I'm not even sure I would be able to use the computer very much especially for the very first few weeks definitely. Maybe I may level off a bit though after 2-3 weeks or so. In fact I believe that would most likely be the case. Since I'm not working right now and I'm at home for the most of my time, even with the baby I still think I'll be able to spend at least a couple of hours a day online. Though, as much as I'd like to be the one....I think it would only be responsible letting you know this stuff before we actually went in and made the change you know....

hopeful786: I have checked the expiration date after reading your post, It expires 10/31/2010. So i think there's no issue with the form being expired. I still wonder whats the problem. When I got this last response from NVC about them forwarding case to ISb, I called them and asked in detail. So the operator was like, your husband needs to bring the form to the interview and wait until we schedule the interview. I was like OK!!!!!.... But I was wondering if I can call them back some time and ask them how long would they take to schedule a date for us. Anyways lets see how it goes.. Im also gona call embassy to confirm they have our case now.
