It shouldn't be an issue, they are just requesting more information to continue processing the case so they can issue you a visa. The case must be entirely complete with all the required documents and any additional checks they do to be sure you are not ineligible for a visa. Just standard procedure, nothing to worry about. Insha'Allah you will get your visa soon

they just want another form with recent information and federal tax return. Are they talking about the 2008 tax return? or the one coming up?

Jazak Allah Hopeful786!

Praying everyone gets visa soon Ameen

Also Zaheer, what times do you call the embassy? I tried calling this Sunday that passed but oh my it was so difficult to get through them. What does the embassy tell you?

hey guys , i hope u all r doing fine. Let me share my personal funny experience with u

I had my interview on 16th Decemeber and i was told that u could pick up ur passport from Amex within on week so on 23 dec when i heard nothing i sent and Email to ISL embassy to inquire about my case . right after half an hour from the email i got a phone call to pick up my passport . Next day when i had my passport and visa in my hand i just opened my inbox and checked the reply from them and they replied me

Dear Sir,

A consular officer has reviewed your immigrant visa application and has determined that additional administrative processing is required before we can complete your case. The time that this processing takes will vary on a case-by-case basis. Once we have completed this administrative processing, we will continue with your visa application. If your case is otherwise complete, and you have opted to have your passport, visa and documents returned by courier, the courier service will contact you to arrange for delivery. If you have opted to keep your passport, we will contact to let you know when you can submit your passport to our office via courier service, and will then return your visa by same courier service.

I hope this information will be helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you required any further inquiry.

Thanks & Best Regards,

First of all, they wouldn't give him a visitor visa while he has an immigrant visa pending because they will think he has no plans to return to Pak, it happens with any country. Also, visitor visas do require AP. Before we were married, my hubby applied for a visit visa and was in AP for 8 months before being denied. I'm not sure what to tell you, you are in a sticky situation with such sensitive timing. You really should go home and have a safe delivery in an American hospital. If he can't be with you for that it is sad, but at least he will know you and the baby are safe and healthy there. Whatever you decide, Allah will guide you all the way. Good luck...

Ok.. replies replies. Anyhow. First off... we call the Embassy around 12:30p Pakistani Time Monday-Friday. That is about 2:30a EST USA. It is usually not too difficult to get through as long as you are persistent and patient enough to keep hearing "That number is busy, please try again later".

As far as being in USA goes, I am back in USA. I returned home last saturday, but got hung up in New York because of the snow storm and couldn't leave until Tuesday. No flights, barely any hotels... my dad was able to book me a hotel last minute so i at least had a place to stay while waiting for my rebooked flight. So now I am back in FL waiting for Zaheer.

Also, on the topic of visitor visa while he is in AP... we know people who have been approved for them based on emergent situations and other reasonings. Also, if he gives them a specific time limit that he intends to be there, it shouldn't be a problem. Dont forget, our visa IS a Non-Immigrant visa. Its a K3. So, a visitor visa should end up the same way. If his visa gets issued, he should be able to adjust status since all the paperwork is finished. I know plenty of people who entered on Business and student and visitor visas who got married and adjusted status in USA without having to return to their home country. Worst case scenario, he would have to return for any reason, then come right back. But his interview is finished, they returned all our original papers, we just have to wait for the call for the passport. So... anything is worth a try. I am not giving up any hope. We continued on with the CR-1 as well. See if he gets called about that one first... so we will have K3, CR1, and Visitor Visa all in play at once. Insha'Allah, something will bring him home for our baby's birth. Specifically, I dont wanna go through with another C-Sec without him being there. Major surgery without my husband by my side? No thanks.

Pray for us, people. Allah Hafiz.

Tara you are in my duas. May Allah (swt) give you and your husband good news. I think you should email them explaining your situation, it doesn't hurt to ask. You don't lose anything out of it.

I thought you were calling while you were in the USA. I would be patient if I didn't have to use a phone card. When my fiance calls, forget it. It's so hard for him cost wise. A one minute call in pakistan takes like 10 credits out of a 30 credit unit that he puts in. It just feels like there is no other way to get information, so might as well just wait.

Yeah, thats true. It is overly expensive depending on where you are calling from. Especially when they never answer right away. The last time Zaheer called, the girl was having computer problems and it took her forever to be able to say she couldnt pull up his file because of the computer problem. So he told her that he was willing to wait, but it would be next to impossible for him to try to call back since he was calling from work. So finally she just said that the case was still in AP. Bankermai's story gives us all hope, I'm sure. We all want to hear that we are in AP only to get our good news while least expecting it. Insha'Allah, they will start speeding up the process toward the new year. Good luck to you all and I will keep praying for you all as well. Take care. Happy New Year . Allah Hafiz
