Update : I called ISL today on Friday the 13th . They have already sent my passport and the visa packet today,I will pick it up as soon as AMEX calls either tomorrow (Sat) or Monday IA.

hello all, my parents had CR-5 (immigration) interviw on August, 28th 2009. My mom got visa on spot whereas my dad was put on AP. We received call yesterday (November 12, 2009) in Pakistan from Islamabad# and no one was home. So, I called DOS and they told us yes the call was to ask for passport.

Questions: Do we just mail the passport or we have to wait for some letter from ISL or some information. How do we send the passport back and with what information. Any information will be much appreciated.

And faisal, it seems your turn is about to come soon too.

Everything always happens right when you think it won't ever happen! **concentrating on never getting our passport back in the mail** haha Mubarakkkk and no more yo-yo wedding dates, huh? I am not 100% sure but passport has to go via AmEx. Just give your father passport to AmEx and they suppose to give you a receipt, which you needed later to get back passport from AmEx. Make sure to mentioned your father case number.

When US EMB asks for passport, does that mean AP is done or what (because when I called DOS she told me that it's still pending but she is also telling me that ISL EMB is asking for passport)? why it has to be so complicated

Anyone knows how long of a wait should we expect afer submitting the passport. Thanks.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! Hubby just got a call on his cell from the speedex office and they're telling him to bring his ID and the sticker and pick it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG! This is wayyyy too unexpected! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry...forgot to mention what hubby just left to pick up....not that you haven't all guessed though lol......I'm talking about the his passport stamped w/ the visa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! YEAH BABY!

Khair Mubarak Omar!! You're completely right.....jumping....up and down....like a mad-pregnant-women! Even now as I'm sitting here catching my breath I can't stop shaking from excitement!!!!!!!!! I think I may just explode!!!!!! I am just so thankful to Allah his Rasool (S.A.W) and our Mola(A.S) for listening to my prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Goodness....I just don't know how to stop shaking....typing is getting really difficult now. I think I'm going to go back to jumping around my bedroom like a mad-preggy-women again....cause that felt so much better than the feeling of near exploding excitement that's surging through my veins at this very moment...lol!

I'm just sooooo happy......I am just.....wow. Ya Allah Shukar Alhumdolillahe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW....we're planning on getting tickets for after eid....it would be nice to spend eid with haseebs family before we leave IMO....so I've no problem with that. I'm just really very happy! ....yayyyy......and I just got a call from Haseeb and we're going SHOPPING!!!!!! Wohoo.....my favorite thing to do.....I'm so happy. LOL. I probably sound mad....but I'm sure you all understand. hehe

I am already flying my body is in pakiland but up here (knocking on my head) i am already gone lol.And you are right things happen when u r least expecting em.Well now plan is back on i gotta get a flight by next wkend.....lol@Coo&HIP ...oh and call from the AMEX just blasted my mind lol.Hope everyone else get the same good news asap....

Riz is right your dad has to submit his passport at AMEX, I think it should be mailed to Immigration Visa Unit amex has all the info and they are very helpful.It takes about 2 weeks to get the passport back and ISL sends it to amex so your dad will have to go pick it up from them. In my case they never told me if AP was completed when i called DOS they just told me visa was issued.... Usually when AP is done thats when they ask for the passport to print visa in it....Good Luck
