Ok guys here you go we have our tracking spreadsheet ready for your review. It will help us keep in touch and be informed about speed of process. Please keep posting even if you receive a call from embassy and you get visa. Just remember your one final post can help many people who are still in a situation where you been before. For sure we will be out of this sooner or later it just matter of time. If you get mad or be patient and wait time will pass with its own pace but if you will be impatient you will just make it more difficult for yourself. No more lectures :). Just pray more Allah has final stamp for Visa.

Please me let know if I need to correct someone's info or need to add something. Good luck to everyone

MumtazG38,

I am glad we have some kind of forum where we can share our situations and take out our furstrations as well. It makes sense what you are saying but thats not how people at embassy look at it. First of all dont be confused by the advices of those people who dont know anything about this process. I personally think you should go with your husband. Regarding your Taxes as long as you or your co-sponsor prove enough income to support total household size they dont care if you make $500 or $50000 a year. I hope your husband will not go through AP but just be prepared because I think 99% of pakistani male go through AP. They do not care if you are pregnant they have to follow their guidelines and if you say something to them it will just make things worse. Just have faith and don't be disappointed. Just a friendly reminder you do not have to provide your personal information like your husband's name and his father's name. GOOD LUCK

ALI555,

I think You said in a recent post that they moved the EMBASSY SHUTTLE STOP from Convention Center to BARA KAHOO. Is that information correct. Five years back it was at convention center and I went through couple of posts suggesting it was still at convention center. Can you please verify again and if possible the new address. I will appreciate.

My wife has an IR1 interview in Islamabad on 09-11-2009 (No Kidding). I will be fying back to Pakistan to be with her at the interview.

Please help.

Yes the shuttle service has been moved. Its on the road you take to go to Raawal Dam/Murree/Abbotabad/Sahadara.If you are fimiliar with pakistani streets/roads u will know.I believe the road is called Baha Kaho Road.If u r taking a cab,the driver will know.If ur driving urself ,better go there a couple of days before interview to get fimiliar with the route as to know how much time its gonna take.

hi all!

It's a avery good and informative thread. Hope you all get out of this AP soon and be united with your loved ones. My wife's interview is on August 13. Can anyone who recently had an interview clarify about where to get the shuttle bus? I know they have moved from convention center. This is the address that I have

Third Avenue near Quaid-e-Azam University Road, G-5

But I believe this is NOT in Bara Koh. I am from Rawalpindi, so I am somewhat familiar with the roads. Please Clarify!! Thanks!

you all remind me of our AP journey which lasted SIXTEEN months=) but let me assure you all there will b a day when ISL will call for the passport.

Faisal, trust me i searched the entire world for AP info. Do not go by DOS if your beneficary is a Pakistani. Avg AP in pakistan is 6-10mons however there is no definite time period. Fortunatley, recently they are processing checks at a much faster phase.

As for common names being stuck in AP for long is not always the case what security checks to request is totally upto CO's. I knew of some common names like Ali who cleared in 2 months or less, others w/no AP time while some where stuck for a year +. AP is totally unpredictable and mysteriously unkown.

Why it happens after the interview, as i said it's CO's call AFTER conducting the interiew he is able to make a prudent judgment.

Good lucks to you all, it is v v difficult to wait but trust me there will come a lucky day when your phone will ring and ISL will request passport=)

duas,

SALAAM TO ALL MEMBERS IN WAIT,

My Fiance has been in AP for 3 and a half months now. His interview was at the US Islamabad embassy and was approved for a visa but was put in AP. It has been so long. We have been apart for 16 months now, but he has been in AP for 3 and a half months. MY Fiance keeps sending the embassy emails asking for a status update but they keep replying pending. Several emails and 3 weeks later, they sent an email to my fiance saying that he will get a call or call letter from their office soon... it has been 1 week, but no call as of yet. Does anyone have any ideas on what we should do about this? I have heard about calling DOS but I'm not sure if I am allowed to do that and exactly which number to call?? I live in New York City, and my FIance lives in Afghanistan. PLEASE HELP US....I GREATLY APPRECIATE IT....AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US...

My fiance' interviewed in Islamabad in Dec 08. We have been in AP ever since. Almost hitting the 9 month marker. His brother had his interview in Dec 07 and was out of AP in 6 weeks. I don't try to figure it out any more. We just do the most we can for each other from this distance and pray that it will end soon. My advice is just make the most you can out of each day and do not obsess about it. (you'll just be frustrated)
