InshAllah we are next too!!! Good luck everyone! The closer it gets, the harder it gets!! **AHH** :)

So I emailed them last night inquiring about if they received my documents and this is the response I got:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Our record indicates that we did receive the documents from the applicant but those haven’t been reviewed yet. You are requested to wait and we will contact you once the documents are reviewed.

I hope this information will be helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you required any further inquiry.

Best regards,

Immigration Visa Unit

Consular Section American Embassy

Islamabad

Note: If the address or phone numbers of the applicant or petitioner have changed since the visa interview, please inform us. Please always mention your case number the subject line of your email.. Islamabad case numbers usually start with the letters ISL followed by 10 digits. (Example: ISL2009800019).

So my clock begins.... now lol... I'm glad to hear some good news this week alhamdulilah from one of the members... insha'Allah I hope the weeks of visa calls start rolling

Well,, My parents got the visa in hand today, they are leaving tomorow morning InshaAllah for chicago. Everyything came in kind of on a short notice, but i was expecting it like that and telling my parents to be ready. I havnt seen them in almost 5 years, so its been a long time now. They are finally coming to their kids where they belong. Any how, i will InshaAllah pick them up tomorow, and update on how things went.

Feisal, Omar, Marm, Naz&Omi, Hopeful786 and everybody else, i am praying for you all, InshaAllah it will be over soon, But realy once more, if you guys get a chance read Surat Muzzammil, like i had said in my previous post, it works. it has worked for me on 2 different occasions, like a miracle. :)

It depends where you will be coming from but if you get to bus stop at 6:00 or 6:30AM then you will have enough time. They used to have this bus stop at convention center before buth now they moved it to Bara kahoo side. it better to be early for an hour than coming 5 min late. Good Luck

will they hold passport while doing AP? or will give me bacnk. I work in kuwait and i will need passport to go back.

Thanks

Congratulations zee12!!!

On a different note, I wrote to the Chief Consular Officer at the US Embassy in London a while ago, and today I got a letter from the Chief herself. She wrote to me that at the time of my fiance's interview, the interviewing officer wasn't satisfied, so she put him in Administrative Review, which is investigation at the consulate level (and which is the reason I received a phone call for a phone investigation from London as ell). That part of the process has been completed as of Sept 24, 2009. So he is no longer in Administrative Review, he is approved. But now, comes the other part: his case was sent for the routine administrative processing as of Sept 24, 2009 (this is the part that everyone usually gets to wait in: approval but AP for security/name checks, etc mandated by DOS/Washington, D.C which usually take between 48-72 hours to complete but can take weeks, months, years, etc).

So thanks to that horrible CO that my fiance had on the day of his interview, his AP has just now started as of Sept 24, 2009. We are hoping and praying that InshaAllah it ends quickly as he has to leave the UK on Nov 30, 2009 for sure!

It should be the other way around, but I guess they can justify anything they do because whatever we think or say doesn't matter to them. I am praying too that we hear good news out of this thread by tomorrow or next week InshaAllah. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers, we are praying for everyone as well.

I received a call from the ISL embassy saying I could come and pick up my new passport any time(renewal)....that's great timing as interview is 1 week from today and after the interview we can pick up the new passport same day and not have to make the long a$$ trip to Islamabad again!!!!!!!! (IA) Worked out great....just like I planned.

1 week till interview guys(Oct 16th)! Please pray for us everyone....Inshallah we get visa in hand, or soon after at most because I have to leave Paki before week 30 in my pregnancy because PIA (and all other airlines I talked to) have policies for pregnant women....no travel after 30 weeks, and it will be 24 weeks on interview day...seeing as AP is taking 2 months or longer....I really don't have enough time left biologically to be looking at AP as an ok thing anymore. My parents came to Pakistan from the states 1 week ago and plan on staying till January I have no other family to stay with or depend on in the states...baby is due on Feb 4 (inshallah khariat se) I have to go to the U.S for delivery because otherwise my baby will miss out on citizenship, good medical care and attention, and not to mention cheap medical....as I have health insurance for him and myself. But I have no place to stay and no one to care for...unless inshallah my husband gets his visa same day...and we can leave and then atleast I won't have to go through the last months of my pregnancy alone(which gets more and more impossible as due date gets nearer). Please do dua for us guys....we are running out of options!

I plan on telling all of these facts to the interviewer and am praying that we get a kind and sympathetic interviewer inshallah....someone who will take our situation into consideration before making any decisions about AP and whatnot!! Inshallah allah hears my prayers!!!
