what is a que?

A queue is a like a waiting line, when used by DOS people, it means that your visa is approved, and you are in line waiting for it to be printed.

InshaAllah I hope we hear good news this week for all those of us waiting.

zee12: Keep hanging in there, I know it is easier said than done, but InshaAllah it won't be longer!

Omark: DOS does drag and push and shove you around a lot, they say things that sometimes are just general things and it is like they are insensitive to our inquiries. I know that there is only so much information they can give, but sometimes it makes you want to scream when they just monotonously say "its pending, they are working on it, good bye."

As for us, I got a response from a senatorial inquiry I made last week, and DOS responded saying that the London Consulate has completed the Administrative Review for my fiance, but now they have sent his case for mandatory Administrative Processing. I don't know what this means...whether it will be another 4 month wait or a few days wait, who knows...like we all know: it is never over until you get here. :(

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

My parents interview was also Aug 21st, same as yur and Feisal's, they got a call from embassy to submit their passports sept 18th, Well, we have been waiting for them to return their passports with the visa since then, but according to DOS, their visa is issued but not printed. Their passports are still sitting in the islamabad consulate. Even after everything is done, we are still waiting. based on my experience, i would give it a month after we submit the passort to actually get the passports back with the visa,

I know, it is very depressing, but the harder part(AP) is done, so atleast that gives u peace of mind. just send the passport ASAP, and pray.

MARM, i dont think it means their will be another AP for your fiance. After they told my parents to submit their passports, i had been emailing the conulate to check the status, and i got a response back from them telling me that they have recieved the passports, and even though the vsa is issued, the consular officer does 1 final review before he sends in the final OK for the visa to printed. so i wouldnt worry too much, InshaAllah, it will be over, you can still call DOS yurself and talk to the good operators to get the update. Pray, only prayers seem to help at this point and nothing else.

Omar, i completely get yur frustration, but yur almost there, It will pay off once you get here. :)

My husband had interview on 8/28/2007 and since then our case has been in administrating process. It has been over two years. It has been a long and painful process and still don't know when it will end. :( Does anyone know if i can apply for a K-3 visa even if my i-130 is in administration process.

Congrats Mzj!

NAZREEN: You can't apply for a K-3 while the I-130 is in process. You have to cancel the first one before going ahead with a different petition. So sorry that you have been waiting so long :(. Any idea how much longer you have to wait? Have the security checks on your husband been completed or are they still waiting on those? Or is your husband's case in review at the embassy? Have you done congressional/senatorial inquiries?

Still praying with everyone else, as prayers are the only thing that we can do really...

The security checks are still pending, at DOS I am still waiting on those. and Yes, I have made congressional inquiries but they said they can't do anything about it if the case is in administrative process, and all I can do is wait. My allah swt listen to everybody's prayers. ameen.

Yes you are right zee12 i am hanging in there and assuring my fiancee as well to be patient but she looses it sometimes :) . If your parents submitted passports on sept 21th which was monday and if you count number of business days then your parents are on the schedule and they should get their passports this week or early next week IA.I overheard while waiting at the embassy, CO telling this older couple at the end of their interview that they will have to pick up their passports after 2 weeks from amex.So i assume it atleast take 14 business days to get the passports back.... u said they submitted their passports on sept 19 which was saturday, are they open on sats? maybe it was sept 21 thats when they submitted the passports...Good Luck.
