I had a question, does calling DOS help,, like i read alot from people saying that call DOS every day, but do they keep a record of the calls being made for a particular case. Also, really does it help?? They pretty much give u the same answer every day. well, just curious, any ideas ??

I dont think it helps and also its the same story calling the embassy, they may have a call log but i dont think they keep track of calls to speed things up.

But it does NOT make us feel better.. haha.. every time I call, while I wait for the visa specialist, I just try to NOT be hopeful.. makes it less painful when they say "still pending"... especially when they take a long time to answer you 'cause the computers are going slow there... hard not to be hopeful that they're just gonna say "It's Done!" every time.. oh well :) Gonna keep doin' it anyway!

aaww, i know Naz@omi, thats exactly how i feel too, wen they take a little longer to read the same stupid message that the case is still going through Administtrative processing, i hope back in my mind that maybe they have a new update, but ofcource they tell the same thing. They dont know wat that means to us, Its just another word for them. Nothing helps, I read these cases abt other people who have been on AP's for months and months, and just get more depressed becasue their is no way around it. There is Absolutely nothing we can do. Just pray, its Ramadan, and only prayers can get us out of it :)

Congratulations Hopeful786! did ur fiance receive a green letter? if not then he is not under AP.Name check is one of the process they do for ppl under AP and if his name is clear already it means he wont have an AP in my opinion....Good Luck.

I'm sorry I've been meaning to post a detailed response... so the interview went well, and my fiance did make use of that clock lol... he waited for 3 hours until he was called. He received a blue letter with a checked 221g which states to submit additional documents and "other" was checked stating that the embassy of Kabul will call him insha'Allah to submit his passport. I'm still expecting this AP though lol Like Mary says, once the visa is in hand, that's when you can say you are not in AP lol

The questions asked:

What is your fiancee's name?

How old is she?

When did you meet?

How did you meet?

How many brothers and sisters does she have?

And that is it...

The consular officer said congratulations your name is clear, you are a good boy loooool... Just tell your fiancee to submit these documents and we will issue the visa to you.
