"Everyone in Islamabad is under AP" ?

What does Al Queda have to do with this, anyways??

Guys: I have a question. Looks like most of male are going through AP at ISL embassy. Is it the same for females? My wife's interview is on june 30th and i wanted myself and her to be ready IF godforbid we go to AP.

For all the people on AP inshallah it will be over soon and you will be reunited with ur loved ones.

Thanks

Asher

hi my husband is not from islamabad but from palestine. he had his interview june 23rd. He passed with a very nice co BUT he wanted an addtitional document from me and was given a paper stating "we cannot issue visa at this time under 221g, and in order to complete processing of this case please submit: and it states a "no tax note from petitioner, signed and dated." The co told him when you send us this well look at it then call you to submit your passport. The embassy will have it in a few days, i made sure to send it asap.

I really hope it doesnt take long, i can feel with everyone who has some sort of delay after the interview, its very hard but its out of our hands. I wish everyone the best and inshallah we are all reunited with our loved soon.

under AP comes all the Misc stuff u can think of , but its not necessary that all implies to your case. Some of the things that are checked are as follows.

1) Field check Local - They verify information from Pakistani Authorities - that is included in the Background and Security Check

2) Check with Interpol - they check to see if you have declared the information about visits of 6 months or more to countries abroad - included in background and security check

3) Name check by FBI - Also known as National Name Check Program - this is where all the delay comes in if your name pops up with the database of around 15,000 known terroist - they then do manual check on you to make sure you are not the same person - included in the background and security check.

frustrating i know - Hope your AP ends soon.

Do u have children? If yes, then you have a good chance of getting a visa as i see u have been married for 4 years and you will be there for the interview - Hope your husbands name is not too comman 1 ????

Make sure your husband and your answers match as they might interview you both separetly - do not give them dates or definite answer if you are not sure about the question - just say you do not remember at the moment.

I believe u have a good chance of getting a visa without AP. Good Luck

no Feisal, we dun have children yet.. we were married young and delayed having children until we were out of this mess.. his name has "ahmed" in it... very common I must say! We are very thorough with our dates and such.. we literally grew up together (good family friends) so we know each other's family basically on the tips of our fingers... it's the AP I am scared of the most.. I dunno anyone who were approved the same day at the interview.

One of VJ members had her husband's interview on June 24th.. they have been married for 3 years, she went there for his interview and of course he was put on AP.. CO mentioned 1-3 months but lets see how long it takes.. I spoek to her on phone and she told me that only one Afhani guy got the immigrant visa, and this 60 year old woman was also put on AP while she was being sponsored by her son in the states. I guess as a Pakistani, we gotta through this no matter what. :-(

waiting for approval...i dont think you wanna be outside the enclave at 6-630 as the shuttles don't even start working then. you can not drive to the enclave.

its gonna be a long wait and you can't take phone or anything with you so 7 sound more reasonable and plus thats when shuttles start moving
