Zeha - i'm not sure if you even know how long this process has taken us? I am thankful that everything has been resolved so far, however thankful for everything being so quick...you are right I am not thankful because it was not quick at all!!

speaking of ignorance and too much knowledge, our NOA1 took 6 months. Our NOA2 took one whole year...and then after NOA2 which stated that our case is approved and forwarded to NVC, USCIS never sent it. It took 4 months, after contacting the state senator for us to actually get the case to NVC, and finally after one year and 11 months we had our interview and now we are on AP, and god knows how long that will take. So if thats quick for you, and I should be grateful....I am sorry I am not. Wish you knew how long 2 years is before you say i was ignorant and unappreciative!

Just called the USEM and the guys was like, I hope you are aware AP take about 6-8 weeks and since your interview was a month ago, that time is not up yet. So I said, all i wanna know is, if there is any progress on the case yet or has it been forgotten on some reps desk...and he was like no no, definately there is progress on the case, you will hear from us as soon as case is complete.

Sounds a little bit more promising!!! at lease he said 6-8 weeks rather than 2-3 months!

Grin - good question...

What i did is i googled Illinois state senator and visited their website. There I was able to find their contact info as well as post my issue on their website (email).

You could even try yellow pages and call them if you are in the States

I am not sure how others have done it.

I hate the fact that they make you feel guilty for calling them again n again..it's like if you will tell me something straight forward about my case, I wont be this impatient (or probably I will be) but still I won't be calling every day just to see if there is "any" progress.

One month and one day for both of us.. inshaALlah it will be over soon!

As soon as you hear something, let me know-you have my number!
