Everyone going through Administrative Processing in ISLAMABAD

Packet 3.5 was sent to the embassy on Monday and I called DOS today to see if they received it but the lady told me that my fiancee is still on AP. Not sure what she meant by still but I asked her if they received our petition or not but then she said that she didn`t know. Are they doing AP checks even before they grant a interview? Hopefully this is a system error

No it's prob not an error.. unfortunately sometimes they do AP before granting an interview.. ive seen CR1 applicants have AP at the USCIS level and also at the NVC level and then of cos like us.. BLAHHH after the interview...

Maybe if they do the AP now it will get it out of the way after the interview and she will get the visa soon after... good luck..

administrative processing is necessary for Pakistani? what is administrative processing? they will check our name? or what? i visited many countries all Europe , all Asia , i have Pakistani passport, they will still put me on administrative processing?

ap is many things document verification, field investigations, name checks, info on all the places u lived and visited it has many variables so its hard to say as each case in ap could be there for diff reasons.... We were there after interview for socuments they needed and after that the co told us he is going to do namechecks and were done... I just pray this ends soon its been over 4 months now

- Got a letter from USCIS on Nov 8, 2011 stating that my application has been approved and is being forwarded to NVC

- The letter said that "The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning (beneficiary) concerning furhter immigrant visa processing steps."

My questions are:

1. What is going to happen next?

2. Do we have to fill in some new forms or something?

3. What kind of information will be required for the next steps?

I am asking these questions so that i can prepare the necessary paperwork in advance, preventing any further delays. Any help is greatly appreciated.

then 5 to speak with an operator , call that number and ask ur NVC case number , and give them contact detail via email or post , they will send you email or post for required documents for ur 3 tax returns etc.

My fiance had an interview on November 17, and was told, "Congratulations, your visa has been approved. You will be getting a call within 2 weeks to collect your visa and passport from the American Express office in Lahore." The interviewer took her passport, and gave her a purple-colored token.

I just called DOS today and was told that our visa has not been issued yet, and that our application is under administrative review. What the hell is going on?? I'm so damn pissed right now...

Hello Everyone,

I am glad to have found this forum. My wife had her first interview on 12/22/2011 where they asked for additional document to show proof of marriage. After they received the documents they called and scheduled another interview for 2/13/2011. After this interview they asked for us to show proof that i was in Pakistan when the marriage took place. I went ahead and sent them my passport with entry and exit stamps along with my flight itinerary. I called they DOS last week and they said that my wife's file was opened March 6, 2012. They kept all of the original documents along with her passport. Can anyone tell me how long it will take?

Hay friends.write for me something.my interivew at Islamabad embassy I'm june 25.and CO ask me few question and he didn't give back my original document.and he give me green slip with 221 g.and he did not give me token.but I read some comments here some people got token and green slip both.then why he give me just green slip.I hope some body explain for this. THANX
