Guys I need advice.

My wife is schedule for an interview on 24 September,however it is unlikely she will make it,since we are expecting a baby around the same time,Inshallah.I need to re-schedule the visa interview for sometime in November.Has anyone of you -rescheduled his/her interview before?

Secondly what is the procedure of granting an immigrant visa to the newborn given that I am an LPR not a USC?What do we have to do at the embassy?

no my husband is still in AP and it's been over a month. in 2009, i'm seeing alot of guys were put into AP and it took upto 5 months. in 2010 the process should b a little faster or no??

IR-1 / CR-1 Visa

2010-04-19: approved online wohoooo

2010-04-24: NOA2 hardcopy received

2010-04-26: gave 2 email addresses and assigned case #

2010-04-27: received/sent ds3032, AOS bill

2010-05-01: IV bill became available online/paid

2010-05-06: sent in DS230 package via express mail 9:07am

2010-05-11: NVC acknowledges the receipt of AOS on 05/05

2010-05-13: operator told me that AOS sent to supervisor for review....

2010-05-14: AVR changes to received the checklist letter response on 5/13

2010-05-23: RFE for original birth cert. (i did sent original).......arghhh

2010-05-24: BC under review by some department

2010-06-02: sent in original BC again and previous BC is still under review

2010-06-10: NVC recognizes BC into their system

2010-06-15: BC under review

2010-06-21: SIF!!!!!omggggg soo happy 57 days in NVC process

2010-06-28: interview on Aug. 19, 8am.

2010-08-19: interview went fine but he's put into AP :(

2011-01-09: almost 5 months in AP "still pending"

2011-02-06: 5 and half months and still counting......when is this torture going to end....

2011-02-20: 6 months still no answer..........

2011-03-08: more than 200 days passed in AP..................(

2011-03-24: visa has been issued today. hurayyyyyyyyyy finally wait is overrrr.

I am an LPR and my wife is expecting her immigrant visa interview in Nov 2010.I am here in US and may travel to Islamabad to help her travel.

When she goes for the interview,can I go with her to the embassy,even though I am not a US citizen but carry a green card?Would they allow me in?

I would encourage everyone to join this group and discuss all your matters there, and then we should make a plan to approach top Government officials and news channels and start complaining about the stupid system...

After 3 months in Administrative Review our case was put in AP. We had to find a co-sponsor the embassy would accept. We sent the new co-sponsor paperwork and it was received by the embassy Nov 22,2010. That's when we were placed in Admin Review. We haven't heard anything from the embassy about if they accept our new co-sponsor just that we are now in AP.

I am a US citizen. Got married on 15th july 2010 apllied for my husband on 20th november 2010 as I was told to apply after living 6 months in Pakistan I could file the I-130 form

My husband lives in Islamabad, Pakistan. In between we got a mail from US embassy that had DS230 and sponsorship forms. We filled them and mailed them back through American Express courrier service. Got an interview for March 2nd. Had interview, the interviewer saw the wedding pictures asked a couple of questions. Then at the end she gave us a green sheet and told us that everything looked fine but it will go under administrative process. About 95% of the case go thru AP and it will take average of 2 months. since then its been 3 months and nothing. Its very depressing ! Everything went so smoothly till the interview but after that the AP which is breath taking.. It's very hard living here every second of every minute i'm counting but it doesn't end :(
