Has anyone filed an I-130 for spouse directly in the Karachi consulate?

My brother in lw who is a USC and who has relocated to Karachi in 1997 wants to file an I-130 for his wife in Karachi.Has someone else done that successfully here?

Your responses will be appreciated.

Tell him try to fill it in USCIS bz its better way...

Armani Khan, it's been exactly four months for us today and we're stuck in AP as well, I'm soooo worried and depressed because we haven't heard anything. I call the Department of State every week to hear the same thing...

"case is still open and pending review" nothing more and nothing less.

Hopefully we'll have a visa in hand soon and can actually be a "real" married couple.

Good luck with your process and let's stay in touch.

Salam to All

I have few question about islamabad embassy immigrant visa process,

How long Pakistan Police Character Certificate is good for?

After interview i know you get your passport back through American Express courier however when and how you pay for that?

How is it arranged to get back your passport through american express courier?

How many days it take to get you passport back without an AP?

Is there anything extra or special instruction for spouse interview?

What do you all recommend to take for an interview?

All help would be greatly appreciated

Pakistan Police cert is vaild for 3 months (Told by NVC, but I think for 6 months).

If afte interview no AP, then passport take 3 to 14 days.

AMEX/speedex will call to pickup passport once they received from Embassy.

Take all suporting DOCS.

Goodluck

All,

I called Islamabad embassy and nice lady told me that PCC is valid for 12 months. What should I do? Should i get new one or not?she originally got her PCC on april 12 2010 and her interview date is July 16, 2010.

One more question I remembered reading FAQ from Islamabd it says "When you receive an Interview Letter, then have a Medical Exam done by one of our approved panel physicians 2 weeks prior to the interview date"

Any suggestion what should i do for two above issues?
