Honestly girls, I dun want to call DOS everyday because it really hurts me to hear still pending and I also k now that I need to wait at least until the end of September but since work isn't that busy these days and I have memorized the DOS number, it takes me a minute to pick up the phone and dial the number... In fact anotehr part of the reason is EVERYONE keeps asking me about his arrival and I am just sick and tired of telling them "soon inshaAllah" i mean seriously, it's been 4 and half years.. I just want to be over and done with this now.

oh well, work will be picking up soon and I won't have any time to sit in the office and do nothing so inshaAllah I won't be this stressed out! As a matter of fact, I don't get time to stress out but I actually take out time to depress myself by thinking about it.. by waiting for that one phone call from hubs about his visa.. I do this to myself on purpose!

and yes I know hubby will come over as soon as he gets the visa, even if it's during Ramadan, not because he doesn't want to spend Ramadan with his parents n siblings but because I am alone here.. my parents and siblings are in Pakistan too and I usually spend Eids crying on phone wanting to be with them (it used to come in the middle of school semester and now during the busiest time of work) so just the fact that TWO of us can be together for Eid, his parents would kick him out as soon as he gets the visa.. I have a blind faith in my inlaws (and yeah him too) :D

Lonely Heart.. gym is a good idea actually.. It's not only gonna tone us up but will make the time go by fast!! Will look into that :-)

Thanks girls for your well wishes and concerns... it keeps us all going (F)

NOt really.. from this thread only truthonlyplz's wife was on AP and that too for only three weeks.. I know S&F's wife's interview is coming up in the last week of August.. rest I haven't seen many females going on AP.

In fact the day L179 and I had our interviews, there was a female who was approved right away but our husbands were put on AP. So the consensus is that females hardly ever go on AP and if they do, it's usually very short.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Back to the topic of the gym, which is off topic, sorry; anyways, I joined the gym as we filed as well, and omg it has helped with stress, as you said its 2 hours of focusing on something other than WAITING. Plus I lost alot of weight so he will be very happy when he sees me! I am dreading AP, but inshallah will be with my husband for at least 4 months after the interview, so that will shave some time off waiting alone, otherwise I'd be calling DOS everyday as well. And I second the notion that pakis are mamas boys! Some of the things he tells me abt him and his mom, its like wow I never imagined a mom n her son could be so close! I just hope I can measure up to her!!

WOW!!! I can't beleive these hubby's!!! The wives are waiting anxiously for their husbands and they want to spend Ramazan with their mothers! I thought Ramazan was about worship and remembering Allah....not about spending it with 'whoever'.

Prayer of blessing out to you guys....on that note.

As far as calling DOS goes, there is no reason to wait to call them. Ofcourse they have given us a minimum/maximum time limit but on the other hand, you are a USC and do have rights to inquire about what is going on. The only sad part about calling them is a negative response which only depresses/saddens you. But at least your mind is at rest that you HAVE tried! One of the reps told me I can call everyday if i wish. So why not? I am not committing a crime? So be it! Just a polite question from my side and close ended response from them. SSS! (short simple & sweet)

Gym is a great idea guys...and with me gaining weight definately I plan that as well, however HELLO!!! Ramazan is around the corner...and we all need blessings from no1 but Allah, so utilize this time in namaz and duas. Seek His help. We all have 11 months of the year to work out but for those of you who can't find answers and need strength and patience now is the time. Ask and HE shall give!

GOD BLESS!

Yeah L179 totally agree with u Ramdan is month of blessing and and asking for forgiveness .But when i mentioned gym that was back in feb since after new year started i was more in stress when yrs pass that was scaring me the most so i needed alternate way which was only hitting gyms not clubs ,lol so it did helped to release some stress and yeah weight aswell. Now INSHALAAH my intention is also to pray and Thank Allah for his blessings he has showered upon us these 4 yrs i achieved alot i recently purchased my own home so im just waiting for my hubby so we can move to our own home since i never wana live in apartment i just cant use washing machines which everyone else has to use and other issues i have with apartments but since i had been working full time for past 4 yrs i had enough savings to go ahead and buy my own home so im very greatful for al the good things which also had happend during waiting time .Allhumdullilah Allah is great since i was hurt by not being with hubby but Allah has been greatful with me in other ways that im fully stable now and when he gets here we r good to live on our own which is big Blessing .
