I used www.vayama.com to buy my SO's plane ticket on Delta. Delta is a little more expensive than some of the other airlines, but it is a striaght flight so no worries over layovers.

Sometimes it is cheaper to buy the plane ticket in Ghana than in the US. I would have your SO call around and see what the prices are then you can decide.

As for airlines, remember to take account the layovers and if he will need a transit visa.

If you are looking to purchase a ticket from the US to Ghana the place that I have found to have reasonable prices is Ambassadorway.com...if you are looking to purchase a ticket from Ghana...I think that KLM is the easiest to truly work with...since there is an office right at the airport. You can make your reservations online (KLM.com) and then have the actual ticket waiting to be picked up. Their prices are fairly decent and there is a plane leaving Ghana each night around 9:21 pm.

Anyone have any advice for purchasing tickets from Accra, Ghana? What are the best airlines, travel websites to use? Is it best/cheapest to purchase from U.S. or from an office in Ghana?

I'm not familiar with any in Accra, Ghana but I know that Delta has pretty inexpensive fares.
