Lately, lots of new threads are popping up where people just open up a new topic to share that they have been approved, received NOA1, what have you, and then the entire thread pretty much consists of other random people congratulating that person.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy for you as much as the next guy, but...

Imagine you are a newbie, completely confused and you are having to search through dozens and dozens of (useless) topics before you find anything relevant.

I would just like to suggest that you post your happy news in an existing thread, it sure would make things easier. There are many threads "divided" by region, month in which you filed, etc... why not post your good news there where other people can benefit from comparison with your case, because then they can expect similar timeline?

I feel like I am being bombarded with "congratulate me" and "pray for me" threads, and I just think it is unnecessary.

Let's be courteous to one another and do some research before we post, please?

Thanks

V - maybe he started the party without us! LOL!!!

@topic

You are entirely in the right here, this is a topic that really frustrates MANY people. Even as a PLATINUM member I know I get annoyed trying to find topics from people asking for help because others feel they need a spotlight or a pissing party.

**I guess what SJR09 was trying to say is that VJ Members are free to post (which we can!).

**what he don't understand is....VAreska is just trying to minimize post with the same content but posted on different dates and months. (which they are free to do....coz they just want to share their happiness)

**and that Vareska wanted to point out...we can check timelines similar to ours.. which we can benefits, and things will be easy for us to understand.

EXAMPLE : "May Approvals (lets do NVC together)

*** I am approved in May and I wanted to know who is going through NVC like me.. so I would know if I should be worried. and i can also ask questions with ones I have the same similar timelines with.

GET IT?!!!! :thumbs:

Wait, so what? The request to keep threads uniform on the IR-1/CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures board ought to be made in the Off Topic board? You lost me here.

Anyway, I think now that this particular board is hopping, it might be time for a sub-forum to be created for IR-1/CR-1 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports, like the ones that exist for K-1 and K-3 visas. Then, people could post about their approvals etc. in the appropriate sub-forum, and the main "process and procedures" board could be used for questions about the process, etc.

Perhaps that should be suggested in the Site Related Discussion board?
