I-130

Hiiii,

We upgraded the petition for my husband's I-130 in September of 2008, and we have not received a response. Is this normal?? does anyone know how long does it usually take?? I was told this would be an active processing since it was a citizen filing for the spouse... When I contacted USCIS back in February of 2009 they told me that it was pending background investigation to wait 180 days before contacting them again.

Anybody going through the same thing??? I'm loosing my mind. Does anybody know who can I contact to try to expedite it?? Any suggestions?? Last year I contacted the congressman and he did help me get the status but that was it...

There are days like today that I feel very hopeless and wish I had a lot of $$$$ to be able to afford the best lawyer and for this nightmare to end already. I do not understand why the hold up. HELP GUYS

The only good thing is that my husband is here with me in the United States...

He was in the U.S. I never filed for him as a fiance.... When we got married I was a resident, as well as when we did the I130 until last year that I became a citizen and upgraded the petition.

I think most of us experience this kind of delay....all we can do is to pray that they will approve all of us so that both couple will be together already....even me dont know why to process a papers are very very hard for me and for my husband who's there in USA already while me are still here in Philippines...we want to be together as husband and wife hope soon......we finish submitting I-130....hope i will be there in USA soon... ...Just take care all of you guys.........

as you never know we already upgraded our pending petition. weve been waiting for almost,,hmmmppp

morethan 4 years... he filed when he was LPR and when he became USC he called uscis to upgrade and try to sent the cert., letter etc...

what worst is when they ask for RFE and and my husband failed to send it completely!! they sent a denial letter for the response of our RFE.. .. how painful and that time i just cant help but CRY. after all those years of waiting....in one little mistake they denied US.

But as saying goes try and try until you succeed ,,,, we refiled last june 15 and another NOA1 but this time filled by USC.

Dont give up. just Pray. God is GOOD.
