Seriously? I would love that so much. I, in my old age, have grown so tired of hearing people partying, people's often crappy taste in music, their home reno moments and dogs barking all in unison at all times of the day...

Nagi, good luck with the new pooch!

Thanks to all for prayers and good wishes. We are really hoping Finnegan is cured this time. He's on antibiotics and a urine-crystal-dissolving med and he'll be eating a very expensive, but specialized diet. Frankly I'd rather pay $50 a month for special food if it means no more panic and hospitalization. Thankfully this vet is awesome.

It's coffee time, Comrades. Then -- who knows. We have our new German student with us, and of course I start teaching again next week, so I have much to do! You won't see me much in the coming weeks but I'll be thinking of you all!

Well, I have had pc problems all afternoon. Sigh.

I will leave tomorrow about 11am to pick up the dog. It is an hour drive from here. I was warned the dog is NOT socialized. I guess I will be busy for the next few weeks trying to get him adjusted and trained.

Well, the new dog is a handful!! He has never felt grass, interacted with people, and is extremely underweight. He is very skiddish considering he spent his whole 18 months in a pen. Alas poor thing! I have named him 0toka, which means Beginning in Lakota. A fine specimen he is! When he fills out and matures and has been socialized, he will be a wonderful companion and a real eye-catcher for his breed.
