Thanks for the education brother Charles it was an interesting read but at least with a hurricane there is a little more time to prepare rather than with the tornado. Hurricanes stay in the ocean for days ( sometimes ) allowing time to board up , pack, get the pooch, bird , important paers and leave, wehre as a tornado the siren sounds and ya better hit the deck..............

that's pretty much why we have a tornado room in the midwest. it has all the important stuff, like some papers, computer back ups, and of course all the guns and ammo.

So I'm still trying to figure out the new roolz we're supposed to play by.

Apparently, it's ok to say the words n00b? And pwn?

Or is the Thought Police going to shut us down for merely THINKING of oldways?

BTW.... I can never remember .... is it Oceania or Eurasia that we're fighting this week?

Please give me a hint, I'd really hate to have to go back to Room 101 again, my very worst fears are lurking in there.

We did post a cross section of our own nOOb threads in the nOOb thread. I for one, and Charles can attest, I have had my share of such in the past.

So, like, if our puppy dies and we cry - are we whiners?

If our baseball team comes this close to clinching the pennant and chokes -- are we whiners for wanting to mope around the house for a few days?

Who gives "them" permission to tell anybody what feelings to have?

"They" don't like our being judgmental, then we're told that it's been decided by the Committee (ahem) that "we" are whiners. Whatever.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to.
