Good Monday Morning my fellow comrades! The sun and surf were fantastic, was sooooo hard to leave. This is my last week of summer break...sigh. Should be an interesting school year...our esteemed Governor Perdue has called for a three day furlough for school employees. Don't get me wrong comrades, I am glad to even have a job! My poor hubby (a state employee too) got cut from FT to PT.

SIGH...

My husband is going to leave to go back to his home next month. He is becoming quite the traveler and I hate it when he is gone.

I worry that this will wind up being my husband as well - a weekend husband. There are jobs, but it seems that not even my hubby qualifies for anything! Every time he's applied for a job he's either been beaten to the post or he gets the "thank you for applying but we will continue to seek for a more qualified applicant" letter. Hubby is college educated but for some reason no one wants to accept his Cdn education down here. Costs so freakin much to have it evaluated and translated into what the American equivalent would be. Damn this fvckin economy!

Comrade NArocks....mine may as well work out of state. He works from morning to night, like 9am to 11pm every freakin' day. He has 2 jobs and sometimes a side job. 0nly time I see him is when he is sleeping .

Well, that is what we're both doing - going back to school. Here in GA hubby qualified (finally...something he qualified for!) for the HOPE grant and Pell grant which is paying for technical school (computer information systems program). I am getting Stafford loans and Pell Grant (finishing my ECE degree). We're doing this all online so that neither of us have to leave the house for classes. Our daughter has special needs so it's good that we can both be home. Hopefully when hubby is done he will "qualify" for something in the job market. It's just the here and now that sucks so bad.
