I was going to pwn but the thread got closed. Sigh.

What kind of car did you buy, Comrade Scandal?

Chevy Cobalt. I was comparing the Cobalt to the Honda Civic.

Cobalts are made in Lordstown OH. Civics are made in Japan.

Buy American!

Besides -- good crash safety ratings, good gas mileage, 0% financing for 60 months, cheaper base price, 1 year free OnStar.... very happy with the Kapitalist Kar of lackey bourgeois company General Motors :star:

Back to the C4C mission...wait, what is it again?

Glad you like the Cobalt, that's great to hear. Katrina was quite a storm to live through I bet :(

I am making a very concerted effort to stay off VJ at work. I'm only allowing myself on at the end of the day for a quick catch-up session.

And Sister Thanti isn't too fond of my spending too much time on VJ at home... she knows well my addictive personality.

I do miss the fun, but I was getting to the point of serious jeopardy to my job and real life. Can't have that.

I'm off to Brazil on Friday to spend time with the kids (well, 2 out of 3 anyway) So I think I won't be on VJ much if at all for the next 10 days or so.

Glad to see that C4C is remaining active, I saw 3 pages (at 40 posts per page) of Kommie Konspiracy just today

Comrade Scanda... I hate to contradict you...

but they make Civics right next door in Indy. Drive down I-65 and you'll see the plant.

But the Cobalt is nice too. :D

I"m from New Orleans. Most of my family is still there or on the northshore or in Mississippi. I went to college and grad school in Hammond. I haven't been back since the Feb before Katrina...

I lived in Jefferson parish for about 9 months back in 85 gong to vo tech school, man let me tell ya woke up sometimes god knows where and how I got there. was hard for my sisters hubby as he is a born and bred cagun but the 2 boys they have are flourishing in Georgia. Even though my sis grew up in Florida it was the total devastation that she refused to ever let it happen to her children or children children again. It was rough, but my other brother who lives in mountains welcomed them and about 25 extended faimly members to their houses. I get choked up thinking about the good will of people to my sis and family :)
