man my friend just called me crying. i could barely understand her. she lives in santa monica and going over to westwood now. wow. i didn't know anyone could love a celebrity so much.

tell her to get a grip. :P

I cried too. Don't be so quick to judge. No offense.

I just don't get it in this particular case. Dude deserves absolutely no sympathy. Like OJ, they got away with disgusting crimes because of their celebrity status.

It's not sympathy, it's the loss of a very talented person who has held a presence in my life and those who were fans. This is about the loss of a legend - yeah he was messed up, and that's a different story that I don't want to go into AGAIN. He was aquitted. That's all I have to say about that. Comparing him to OJ - it's like apples and oranges. I've heard that argument before. If OJ died I would not blink. I'm very saddened by this. :(

FFS.... now people will try to turn this fvckstain into a saint? wrong.

I certainly hope not !

bank on it.

of course they will. There are people CRYING outside the Medical Center. #######, get a grip! It is so damn lame when people cry about a celebrity dying. like #######, you didn't even know the guy.. but he would have LOVED to meet your 5 year old son.

You should have seen all the people crying when Elvis died!!! Talk about nuts.

If you visit Graceland, you'll see them STILL crying. I think this will be bigger than Elvis's death.

Many people identify with the icon rather than the person. They did it with Elvis and many others. A lot of people grew up on MJ's music...and his songs are connected to many memorable events in their life, sis. He obviously was a deeply troubled person and did despicable things, but his musical achievements are what most people identify with.

That's it. I loved his music up through Thriller, and the pre-scandal stuff is what's connected to my formative years. There's a disconnect in my head between the talent he was then and what he turned into later.
