My husband turned in his 1 751 in the beginning of June. We recently received a NOA that notifies him of his appointment for biometrics. We never received the NOA that is a receipt that says that his green card will get extene one year. My husban is abroad and is scheduled to get back into the country on July 4th. Will the NOA that states that he has a biometrics appointment be enough to get back into the country? The form says that he has turned in the 1 751 and has a case. Thanks for any input!

When does his cgc expire? I do not think the biometrics letter will be enough because I have heard of people on here that used their NOA and had problems anyone traveling is usually adviced to get a stamp on their passport instead of using the NOA. But then again you never know.

If his green card has not expired yet he will be ok. If it has there is really nothing much you can do because he is already out of the country and you cannot make an infopass apt.

Hope it goes well

Did his green card expire before he left the country? The biometrics letter does not prove status - I never recieved my NOA1 and had to go to a local USCIS office to get a stamp for a 1 year of temp status to prove I am a legal resident which allows me to travel and work. I hope someone here has some good advice for you.
